I made it to 58-years old!

The Beatles: Revolver Super Deluxe 5 CD Box-Set! (11.6.2025)

This is a new stereo mix, sourced directly from the original four-track master tapes. The technology has produced a stunning clarity of sound – with the help of cutting edge “de-mixing” technology developed by Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films Productions Ltd. Included is the GRAMMY Award-winning original album artwork created by Klaus Voormann, the Super Deluxe CD and vinyl house a beautiful book featuring Paul McCartney’s Foreword, an introduction by Giles Martin, an essay by Questlove, and insightful chapters by Kevin Howlett. I read somewhere that Peter Jackson wanted specifically to use the technology he developed to update and synchronise the sound-tracks to all his Lord of the Rings films. As these films were produced well-over a decade and years a part – the technology improved as they filmed. Now, the older sound-tracks can be brought into line with the latest – increasing the quality and viewing experience. Peter Jackson was adamant that he only wanted to work on “Revolver”. Listening to the original “mono” proves just how spectacular The Beatles actually were. By comparison, “stereo” seems lazy!

Imperial Germany: Voices of British POWs Recorded During WWI! (24.7.2022)

The sheer ‘localism’ is astonishing! This is a time before globalism and when people came from the places they were born into – places they were not expected to leave throughout their lifetimes. The Germans wanted to use these recordings to train German Colonial Troops – after Germany had won WWI – to invade, settle and control all parts of the UK prior to British culture being usurped, wiped out and eventually replaced with German language and culture!

Cathay Pacific Dismisses Crew Members Accused of Discriminating Against Non-English Speakers! (23.5.2023)

Most of the Flight Attendants I interacted with were young and older women from Hong Kong, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia – and although NOT all were ethnic Chinese – all were ‘Asian’ and all had to be able to speak ‘English’ and ‘Cantonese’ (the dialect of the Chinese language spoke throughout Guangdong province, Hong Kong and various other areas of Asia outside of geographical China) – regardless of their own ethnic language. What the Cathay-Pacific Staff did NOT have to do was speak fluent ‘Putonghua’ (what the West refers to as ‘Mandarin’) the language spoken throughout Mainland China – as the business model at that time was toward the ‘West’ – and NOT toward ‘China’! Times have changed – and given that China is now an economic powerhouse – it is true that within the modern business climate just as many ethnic Chinese people from Mainland China (and elsewhere) use the Airline as Westerners – and that this change in business demographic toward the Chinese Mainland should be recognised by the British ‘Swire’ (family which still maintains a controlling shareholder stake in the business) – and reflected in the training of its Staff! The Cathay-Pacific Staff members who ‘discriminated’ against ‘Putonghua’ speakers on the flight concerned – hsve been ‘sacked’ – and I suspect this process was carried-out in a language they could ALL fully understand!

The Beatles – A Work in Perpetual Progress! (29.3.2023)

Despite the UK in many ways appearing to be a Soviet State between 1948-1979 – it still functioned within a Bourgeois, capitalist (liberal democratic) system. Since 1979, the onus has been upon dismantling this Socialist edifice and re-instating the pre-1948 status quo where workers do as they are told for as little money as possible. This has to understood if the stage-managing of The Beatles is to be understood. The Beatles existed as a means for the four members and the plethora of individuals surrounding and enabling them (including the ‘Roadie’ Mal Evans) were to make a comfortable living. Behind all these people was the monolith of EMI – so if The Beatles were already millionaires by 1964 (and there are good reasons to assume this) – the reader can speculate just how much profit their ‘look’ and ‘sound’ bought the publishing company! As a winning combination has been arrived at more or less by trial and error – the thinking was that none of it should be changed for fear of spoiling the earning potential. The music of The Beatles is so dialectically stimulating that it means many things to all people. This led to John Lennon expressing in a (reactionary) 1968 interview with British students that he had as many ‘fascists’ as ‘Socialist’ fans – he said this after berating the USSR and the idea of external (revolutionary) change. He seems to be expressing EMI advertising policy rather than any innate knowledge of Marxist-Leninism. Cackling in the shadows was Yoko Ono who never got round to addressing the subject of her anti-Western family supporting ultra-right-wing political views in Japan – or the War Crimes the Imperial Japanese Army had committed during the 1930s and 1940s throughout Asia (and against British POWs). She remains ‘anti-Chinese’ to this day.
