An invasion of Venezuela will not hinder the US-control of illegal drugs around the world – but probably stimulate its trade. It is important for Washington that its own poor are kept in a drug-induced stupor that prevents any meaningful engagement in the physical world – and thus prevents the development of any type of effective Socialism.
