He stated that “strategic cooperation between our country and Russia constitutes a firm guarantee of international security and peace in the face of military operations,” explaining that “the alliance between the United States, South Korea, Japan, and NATO constitutes a serious threat to international security and peace,” stressing that Korea will always stand by the Palestinian people in his just struggle aimed at regaining all his legitimate rights.
The Supreme National Committee for the Prisoner Movement accused the Zionist Occupation of trying to ‘morally and physically assassinate’ the Palestinian prisoners issue. The statement was released in response to attempts to sow discord by creating stories of prisoners having relationships with Zionist female prison guards. This, as per the statement, was aimed at damaging the prisoners’ image. The statement denounced a few Palestinian and Arab media outlets that promoted this narrative. It also announced the commencement of measures starting with the closure of all departments in prisons to counter these attempts.
It is worth noting that tension along the Lebanese Border with Occupied Palestine has been escalating for several months, and its most prominent recent milestone has been the issuing of “Humanitarian” tents by Hezbollah – set-up inside Lebanese territory (in the Shebaa Farms area) – independent action which has aroused the ire of the Zionist (enemy), even though Hezbollah dismantled one tent as a sign of good-will and compromise.
The Committee also called on the “International Community and Human Rights Organizations to protect liberated prisoners and provide each with all facilities, freedom of travel and freedom of movement, and not harass them, especially since this arrest is contrary to the United Nations law protecting those resisting the Zionist Occupation.” At the end of its Statement, the Committee held “The Zionist Occupation and its agents will be held responsible for the lives and well-being of freed Palestinians prisoners!” and called on the International Community to “Move immediately to put an end to the Zionist entity!”
Dr. Maher Al-Taher discussed with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Cuban Embassy the idea of forming a Global Resistance Front to confront colonial domination and support the peoples struggling for freedom – working to isolate the Zionist entity and delegitimize its existence! This an idea that is being discussed and a concept in this regard is being developed within the framework of the Arab National Conference.
The PFLP calls upon the Palestinian People to build on this ruling (that follows-up the International Resolutions related to the Human Rights of the Palestinian People) by working to implement it – whilst the PFLP provides support and backing for this approach! This is doubly important considering the persistence of the Zionist Fascist Government in its continuous approving and implementing of what amounts to “Settlement Judaization Projects” throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem!
