The BBC said “nothing” when the Tories and LibDems killed over 120,000 people with disabilities (through Benefit and NHS cuts) between 2010-2016 – as confirmed by a UN investigation at the time. Indeed, the BBC said “nothing” as these cuts have continued to kill people with disabilities post-2016. Now, after finally getting a Labour government into power – the disability establishment has discovered that Starmer represents a return to the Blairite attacks on disability – as if the clock has been turned back to the early 2000! Whilst Labour is shutting-down the NHS and further eroding Welfare – it is simultaneously supplying Neo-Nazi Ukraine and Zionist Israel with billions of pounds in finance and copious amounts of weaponry! Business as usual then – for 10 Downing Street under Labour!

The department’s fourth misleading statement came as it claimed – again in a footnote – that 70 per cent of the increase in the number of disabled people receiving the health element of universal credit and ESA in the past five years “was not expected by the Department”.

But it failed to mention the impact of the pandemic, with research by the respected Institute of Fiscal Studies (IFS) – published the previous day – finding that “mental health has worsened since the pandemic”, which was “consistent with rising disability benefit claims for mental health”.

The IFS report found that “deaths of despair” – those attributed to alcohol, drugs and suicide – rose by 24 per cent in England and Wales in 2023, compared with the 2015-19 pre-pandemic average.

Three elderly brothers who were conned out of their family farm by a church minister and a local businessman were not in the right state of mind to sign anything, a relative has told the BBC.

Helen Fraser said her cousins Hugh, Roderick and David McCulloch were “groomed” into signing power of attorney documents by the two men.

Reverend Ivan Warwick and businessman Douglas Stewart then sold the farmhouse and drained the bank accounts of the vulnerable victims, one of whom had dementia and the other two who were diagnosed later.

The case has led to calls for safeguards around the use of power of attorney – an issue more pressing with an ageing population and more people likely to get dementia.

Whatever the case, the Western bourgeoisie at the moment, is in total disarray – as the fascist Trump stampedes around the political landscape – sharing metaphorical cigarettes with Kim Jong Un – as they both lean against a wall nervously awaiting the outcome of an important UN vote! China opposed the UN condemning of Russia for its self-defence fight against Neo-Nazi Ukraine – whilst Starmer’s New Labour voted “for”! The UN has never once condemned Israel for its “aggression” in Gaza – regardless of the body-count!

At 24 weeks, she suffered a large-scale early placental abruption, making it impossible to continue the pregnancy. Obstetricians acted swiftly to assist in the birth of a baby boy, Chaochao (pseudonym).

At birth, Chaochao was unable to breathe on his own. In the neonatal intensive care unit, medical staff adopted a step-by-step downgraded oxygen therapy approach, helping him successfully overcome the critical breathing.

Newborns normally require proper nutrition for growth and development. The nurses successfully performed catheterization on Chaochao’s hair-thin blood vessels.

His feeding was meticulously measured in grams, gradually increasing from 0.5 millilitres to 1 millilitre, then to 2 millilitres. After more than 90 days in the hospital, he reached a weight of 2.2 kilograms and was discharged on Feb. 1 to go home.
