France: UK Fishing-Boat “Impounded” – Hindering Migrant Dinghys? (27.5.2025)

Shadow home secretary Chris Philp said they had failed to stop thousands of migrants crossing the Channel in small boats, accusing France of “taking no action whatsoever at sea and often ushering the illegal immigrants into UK waters”.

“Yet when a UK fishing vessel is in French waters all of a sudden they are magically able to act. If the French can now intercept boats then they should start stopping the boats with illegal immigrants – as international law obliges them to do.”

The UK and the EU have struck a deal that covers fishing, trade, defence, energy and strengthening ties in a number of policy areas still up for negotiation.

A key part of the deal involves giving European fishing boats a further 12 years of access to British waters in exchange for easing some trade frictions.

Critics from the Conservatives and Reform UK described the deal as a “surrender” to the EU, while the Liberal Democrats said the government had taken some “positive first steps” to rebuilding ties with Europe.

Of course, the deficient mind-set of Trump is informed using American-English and the anti-intellectualism that encourages. Mind you, the UK has been bringing-in (Neo-Nazi) Eastern Europeans and privileging then for years – punishing the impoverished (indigenous) population if it dares to complain or speak-out. Demonising the opposition – and preventing any countering answer – is the nature of the game today. If my leg is cut-off, its my fault for having two-legs in the first place – as I can always get about quite happily on one leg (NHS take note). This is the bizarre (superficial) world we now inhabit – where objective truth is whatever the powerful and the wilful mob decide it to be. What he has achieved here is astonishing as an art form and virtually everyone is interpreting the meaning either wrong or in a one-sided manner. I find it astonishing and this has nothing to do with the pettiness of agreeing or disagreeing. Of course, there is nothing for the Black man in Zionism or Nazism – so whatever Kanye West is really doing – it cannot be aligning himself with Zionism or fascism.

This ruling effectively “cancelled” the 2025 event – just as a mass pull-out by pro-Palestinian artists was building publicity on the internet. This matters as the artists themselves refer to the ongoing “Palestinian Genocide” in Gaza perpetuated by the Zionist Israeli regime. This is an ongoing massacre of the innocent permitted by all Western governments. From a legal point of view, it is astonishing that a Judge would contradict a Council – and thereby permit a group of civilians prevails in an act of will-power over local policy. The British system just does not function in this manner. Normally, only the rich and the well-connected who work with the system – can get anywhere with regards to influencing local Council policy. What we are seeing here is the system working against itself – but for whom? Of course, to suggest that this is a damage limitation exercise designed to assist Israel continue its Genocide in Gaza – will be presented as a “conspiracy theory”. It’s funny just how intricate and well-timed these “conspiracy theories” are becoming!

I also remember a “93” double-decker bus in Dartmouth. Why? well, in Sutton – where we live – the “93” TFL bus begins in Priory Road (travelling to Putney Bridge) – we used to live in Priory Road from 1998-2004. We now live one or two streets away – but still near this bus route. This bus travels via Wimbledon Common – near to where the Buddhapadipa Buddhist Temple is located. Believe it or not – there is a Buddhist Temple near Honiton in Devon (Upottery) – the Hartridge Buddhist Monastery. We have visited this place many years ago – and might well visit again sometime soon.

Of course, Ringo Starr was temporarily replaced (when ill) whilst The Beatles were on tour – so obviously he wasn’t irreplaceable. Perhaps it just goes to show the greed and desperation that drives predatory capitalism. Still, once CD – and then streaming – developed, Pete Best’s substantial (foundational) contribution was finally recognised via a huge (and well-deserved) pay-out from The Beatles millions – or should I say billions! You can now listen to Pete Best’s drumming as part of The Beatles’ legitimate historical development. Pete Best demonstrated remarkable character having to live through the unbelievable success of the group he helped form – having to watch from the side-line – as the world went made! Still, Pete Best eventually received his financial reward when The Beatles Anthology was released 1995.
