“Winterstoke Road is a vital route within Weston, with many local businesses and communities relying on the route for access. It also previously acted as an emergency diversion route for the M5.

“Given the importance of the bridge, the Ministry of Defence (who own the bridge) have allocated funding to us to design and build a replacement that will better serve the area.

“At April’s meeting of the executive, members agreed to delegate authority to award the detailed design and build contract for Winterstoke Road Bridge to councillor Mike Bell, leader of North Somerset and executive member for major projects.

The tourists are attracted by the pomp and ceremony attached to the methods of combat last practiced on the battlefield around 150 years ago! The British Royal Family are actually protected by the armed Royalty and Specialist Protection (RaSP) Unit of the Met Police – which includes the Royalty Protection Group (Special 0perations 14) and Specialist Protection Command (Special Operations 1) – SO14 and SO1. These men and women are highly trained, do not stand-out – and will shoot a suspect dead in seconds if the need arises – needless to say no photographs are allowed. This is a very different reality to modern soldiers having to obey government orders by dressing-up in old uniforms and posing for tourists – tourists who are then (racially) criticised for daring to approach! Apologies to this injured woman and her associates. The British Army has high standards of discipline – standards which were not upheld during this incident.

You may have noticed that the rhetoric of the numerous Pro-Palestinian news and political outlets routinely criticises the ‘traitor’ Arab States. These include Jordan, Qatar, Turkey and Saudi Arabia – amongst others. All these Islamic States not only side with Israel and the US – but are also behind the arming and funding of ISIS in Syria – spoon-fed to the fee-paying West as ‘White Helmets’! Turkey is also behind Uyghur terrorism in China, whilst Qatar, through Al Jazeera, continuously broadcasts US-derived anti-China (racist) rhetoric! US money and regime change has made Arab solidarity a thing of the past. What follows below is an extract from the above book which documents the UK’s funding and support for the ‘White Helmets’ – which routinely carryout massacres, rape and pillage in the so-called ‘liberated’ areas of Syria! Veteran Star Medal: Alfred Gregory Wyles – WWII British Army Service [1940-1946]! (4.11.2023)

Although he joined the Royal Warwickshire Regiment – famous for its ‘Last Stand’ at Dunkirk – due to his ‘sharp-shooting’ ability he was soon transferred to the 1st Buckinghamshire Battalion (the ‘Light Bobs’) of the Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (Territorial Army) where he was placed in an Anti-Tank Platoon. During D-Day, the ‘Light Bobs’ landed in the first-waves of Allied troops that hit ‘Sword Beach’. His Unit was tasked with fighting their way in-land ten-miles to Caen – where it was to relieve D Company of the Ox & Bucks Ligyt Infantry (Professional) – which had landed as ‘Glider Troops’ around midnight of June 6th, 1944. Due to these required military objectives – my grandfather trained with the Glider Troops around the Exeter Canal System – which resembled the canal system around Caen. Indeed, this association has sometimes ‘confused’ exactly what function my grandfather fulfilled due to him possessing a ‘Winged Pegasus’ badge!

I am told that during WWII – the RNPS lost around 250 ships protecting the UK coasts from Nazi German aggression! My grandfather assisted in the ongoing process of keeping the sea-lanes ‘free’ of Nazi German sea-mines that did so much damage to Allied shipping! Linked above is the article recording his official MOD Medals issued in 1950 for his Military Service – but this article is about a special RNPS Commemorative Medal which we had to apply for (and finance) separately – which honours the fight the men of the RNPS put-up to secure the freedom we enjoy today! Furthermore, my family in the UK are proud that our grandfather assisted the hundreds of ships that formed the Russian Arctic Convoys which carried much needed aid to our Allies in the Soviet Union! Long Live the Royal Navy Patrol Service!
