Russia has basically reinvigorated its old Soviet alliances – despite rejecting them after 1991. Russia has also cosied-up to China. The problem the US has – is that it has nowhere to go – except down. There are no alternative alliances – it is domination or collapse. Trump’s tariffs are exactly the wrong policy as the US is losing dominance and other countries are following the example of Russia!
