South London: Sutton Friends of Palestine – March! (29.6.2024)

Of course, we support the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) – and I often translate their Arabic-language articles into English translation. I have no idea what the internal politics are for the Sutton Friends of Palestine – as all these groups are affiliated to this or that orientation. As matters stand, this group formed-up in the square outside of the Waterstones Book Shop. I over-heard that they would soon be marching through Sutton High Street. We tried to acquire a leaflet – but was told that there were none – but we could “purchase” a badge – which seems a little lax. Leaflets can and do travel far and wide. We are Veterans of protest marches in the UK – most through Central London and involving millions of people! The anti-Israel marches have usually attracted huge numbers – primarily of Muslim people and their supporters. Perhaps half of this group were Muslim people.

Spain (1936) – Historical Origins of the Term ‘Fifth Column’! (6.6.2023)

Contrary to the dreams of the far-right – it would appear that the term “Fifth Column” first appeared in a “Communist” (Spanish) newspaper during late 1936. The implication seems to evolve around Catholic duplicity and the Vatican’s open support for the fascist movement! As Catholics were everywhere – and were guided by their Catholic Priests – there was a perpetual threat to the democratically elected “Socialist” government “from within” or from “behind”! Just as the Catholic Church is guiding (and encouraging) far-right activists (Neo-Nazis) to travel from around the world to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) today – it also carried out exactly the same “recruiting” roll during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)! Anyone interested in this duplicitous history can access the work of Joseph McCabe. I have relied entirely upon Russian language sources for the following article as they are far more objective.

UK: International Conference on Friedrich Engels Held! (3.6.2023)

He said that Engels not only understood the division and opposition between humans and nature, but also explored the coordination and unity of humans and nature in practice, which has outstanding significance in today’s times and is an important guiding theory for Chinese modernization.

“This conference provides a platform for Chinese scholars to discuss with their foreign counterparts the common problems facing mankind and to provide Chinese wisdom to solve them,” he told Xinhua.

“As a Western politician, I can see that Marxism works and has made China great,” George Pippas, ex-mayor of Cambridge, said at the conference.

Pippas said he has visited China more than 20 times and was impressed by the high-speed railway technology, the high level of education, history and tradition blended beautifully with the political system, which are examples of how well Marxism works in China.

The Sun Newspaper: Right Wing Weapon

‘The middle-class, through the use of the Sun newspaper, turns the working-class against itself. It perpetuates hatred, racism, and envy, encouraging unjust action against blacks and ethnic minorities, as well as migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. It attacks the NHS and the Welfare State, pouring scorn and criticism upon those who are required to make use of their facilities and benefits. It once described a young woman defending herself against a baton wielding mounted police officer as ‘scum’, and routinely calls for the working-class to attack the very institutions that have been built-up over the years that were designed to assist the balancing of society.’
