US: 60 Years Later, Voting Rights Act Protections for Minority Voters Face New Threats! (7.8.2025)

Contrary to decades of precedent, Republican state officials in at least 15 states contend that private individuals and groups do not have the right to sue to enforce Section 2 because they are not explicitly named in the landmark law’s text. Only the head of the Justice Department, they argue, can bring this kind of lawsuit.

The issue is at the heart of a North Dakota legislative redistricting case that was brought by two tribal nations. A federal appeals court ruled against the Native American voters, and the case may be up for a full review soon at the Supreme Court. The justices may also be preparing to take up a broader question about the constitutionality of Section 2 protections, based on an order last week for legal briefs in a Louisiana congressional redistricting case originally filed by Black voters.

US: LA Uprising – Trump Threatened with Lawsuit! (10.6.2025)

The lawsuit, which names President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the Department of Defense, claimed that the takeover violates the U.S. Constitution and exceeds the president’s Title 10 authority, not only because the takeover occurred without the consent or input of the governor, as federal law requires, but also because it was unwarranted, according to a news release from the governor’s office on Monday. The protests initially began in response to immigration enforcement operations. In recent days, administration officials have focused their efforts on major Democratic-led cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

China: Lawsuit Filed Against Final EU Anti-Subsidy Ruling – MOC! (31.10.2024)

China has reiterated that the EU’s anti-subsidy investigation is unfair, non-compliant and unreasonable protectionist practice, according to the MOC, which called it a case of “unfair competition” in the name of “fair competition.”

China will continue to take all necessary measures to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, it was stressed.

While the EU has expressed its intention to continue consultations with China on price commitment, the latter has consistently advocated for the resolve of trade disputes through dialogue and consultations and has made every effort toward this end.

Currently, technical teams from both sides are engaged in a new round of discussions to achieve a mutually acceptable solution and prevent the escalation of trade friction, the MOC said.

Legal News: Falun Gong Cult ‘Fails’ to Sue Chinese Anti-Cult World Alliance! (11.10.2021)

On July 22nd, 1999, the Chinese government banned Falun Gong Cult in accordance with the law, and CCTV broadcasted their feature film ‘Li Hongzhi’s Life, People and Affairs’ to the whole country. Some of the interview footage shot by the ‘Light of Science and Technology’ programme team in Changchun was used in the middle.

During the summer of 2004 – Zhao Zhizhen – who had just stepped down from his post as Director of Wuhan TV Station, travelled to the United States with his wife to attend the graduation ceremony of his daughter who had studied at Yale University. On July 14th, 2004, when the two of them were picking mulberries on a hill near the school, they unexpectedly received a legal document sent by a Federal Court in Connecticut. Simultaneously, several Falun Gong Cult members attacked Zhao Zhizhen!

In 2014, a Federal Judge in Connecticut dismissed the case on the grounds of lack of jurisdiction, whilst Falun Gong Cult members still filed a petition to amend the lawsuit.

Mr. Zhao’s attorney – Bruce Rosen – of New Jersey, said the case was ‘the last of more than a dozen attempted cases that Falun Gong Cult has brought against Chinese Officials in the US – in an attempt to embarrass Chinese Officials and place them in a state of terror.’ The Falun Gong Cult attempted this through the concoction of all kinds of lies which resulted in nothing more than an extravagant deformation case!

Falun Gong Cult suppresses critics with false accusations!

Since 2000, Falun Gong has continuously made false accusations abroad, trying to suppress Chinese-language media (and critics) with marathon lawsuits and exorbitant legal fees, but few cases have been successful.
