This was probably a drain or perhaps some type of cooker – but in modern times visitors have taken to dropping coins down through the covering grill – and making heartfelt requests in the form of prayers and good wishes. Our daughters asked for good health to be bestowed upon Nana (Diane Wyles), Granddad (Peter Wyles) and Charlotte (my younger sister)! The currency observed spans the globe – which demonstrates the universal appeal that Glastonbury holds. This is not necessarily “religious” (although religion is important for many) – but rathe “spiritual” in nature – the latter category being far more inclusive and all-embracing!

The embassy flew the flag at half-mast and commended on Chinese social media platform Weibo that Hu’s courage and kindness represented the spirit of the broader Chinese population.

On June 24, around 4 p.m., a knife attack occurred at a bus station in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, resulting in injuries to three people.

The suspect was swiftly apprehended. Hu was severely injured while preventing the suspect from attacking the Japanese mother and son on the spot and unfortunately passed away on Wednesday.

Of the two Japanese individuals, one is being treated in the hospital without life-threatening danger while the other has been discharged.

Chen’s act of kindness has not gone unnoticed in her community. Inspired by her selflessness, neighbours and friends have donated various types of yarn, including wool, mohair, and cotton. Chen made sure to utilize every bit of yarn, creating full sweaters, patchwork designs, as well as scarves and gloves from leftover scraps.

“We all support her,” said Chen’s daughter Xu Tingna, who helps coordinate with charity organizations and deliver the finished products.

At first, Chen’s husband worried that she might tire herself out, but Chen’s passion and decision for knitting won support from her family.

Netizens also praised Chen, with one of them saying, “Those kind deeds bring love and warmth. You are the most beautiful grandma.”
