The seminar heard speeches on such themes as “The revolutionary ideology of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un is an immortal banner safeguarding independence and justice and guaranteeing a rosy future of humankind”, “Let us build a new world of independence and justice through unity and cooperation”, “Independence, justice and future of humankind” and “African countries should struggle against neo-colonialism with the independent idea as their guideline”.

The speakers said that independence is the only way for a nation to live and for a country to prosper and this is the truth proven by history, adding that only when independence is maintained can the genuine dignity of a nation and the happy future of rising generations be guaranteed.

They unanimously affirmed that an important way for strengthening the anti-imperialist independent forces is to further rev up the atmosphere of struggle of suppressing the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the U.S. imperialists and reactionaries in the international arena by intensifying solidarity with all countries aspiring after justice under the ideas of independence, peace and friendship.

The DPRK is willing to join hands with China to follow the guidance of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, and take the opportunity of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and the “DPRK-China Friendship Year” to carry on and develop the traditional DPRK-China friendship, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and push for continuous development of DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations, he said.

The two sides exchanged views on the international and regional situations and the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

After the talks, Zhao and Choe witnessed the signing of cooperation documents in the fields including reciprocal exemption of diplomatic and service visas, mutual translation and publication of classical literatures, customs quarantine, radio and television, and postal delivery. They also jointly attended the welcoming banquet held by the DPRK for the Chinese party and government delegation.

Stressing the importance of the role and duty of tankmen in modern warfare, he underscored the need to organize intensive exercises simulating an actual war and training matches for enhancing combat capability so that they can carry out any combat mission promptly and accurately under various circumstances in contingency, and to take revolutionary measures to dynamically conduct the movement for becoming versatile tank crew and other mass movements, thoroughly subordinating and orienting the movements to perfecting war preparations.

The Syrian President in the message expressed deep thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending congratulations on the occasion of the March 8th Revolution Day.

We are grateful to Kim Jong Un for supporting the Syrian people in their struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve its territorial integrity, the message noted.

Expressing belief that the friendly relations between Syria and the DPRK would continue to develop on good terms, the message affirmed that they would make joint efforts to further boost the bilateral cooperation in the interests of the two countries and two peoples.

To contain the constant threat of the enemies with overwhelming force, successfully control even the slightest attempt to ignite a war and correctly carry out the important mission in contingency, our army should always make more exact demands on itself in keeping with the aspect of changing and developing modern warfare and steadily intensify the actual war drills aimed at rapidly improving its combat capabilities for perfect war preparedness, he said, underscoring the need for the units at all levels of the entire army to dynamically usher in a new heyday of intensifying the war preparations in line with the requirements of the prevailing situation.

Recalling the fact that the ROK puppets let various kinds of battleships intrude into the waters of the DPRK to seriously encroach upon its sovereignty under the pretext of control of fishing boats and ships of a third country and maritime patrol while making desperate efforts to preserve the “northern limit line”, a ghost one without any ground in the light of international law or legal justification, he stressed the need for the DPRK to thoroughly defend the maritime sovereignty by force of arms and actions, not by any rhetoric, statement and public notice.
