The Hind Rajab Foundation called for the arrest of Israeli soldier Gal Ferenbook after identifying him and accusing him of killing civilians in Gaza, where he posted videos boasting about killing Palestinians.
The foundation also urged the Sri Lankan government, the International Criminal Court, and Interpol to take legal action against him for committing war crimes in Gaza.

The ministry highlighted the importance of implementing the General Assembly’s resolution, which endorsed the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice on the illegality of the Israeli occupation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the countries that did not support the resolution and voted negatively to reconsider their positions and join the moral majority in line with international law. It also reaffirmed its commitment to working with members of the international community to implement these resolutions and turn them into effective mechanisms for action.
Law said: “This behaviour suggests that the UK Government has no interest in seeking justice for victims of alleged war crimes and is instead focused on protecting its Israeli allies from facing any accountability.”
“For as long as states such as the UK continue to use these measures to protect those accused of breaches of international law, it will erode trust in itself as a legitimate partner in the international community, and will undermine international humanitarian law it claims to support,” he added.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel has carried out military operations in Gaza that have killed over 45,000 people, displaced virtually the entire Gaza population of 2.3 million, and destroyed large swathes of the strip, including residential buildings and homes, electricity and water infrastructure, mosques, churches, schools, and hospitals, in a bid to make Gaza uninhabitable.
“It’s important because the mainstream media doesn’t often report on whatever’s happening to trans or queer people,” said Stephan Kyriacou. “I think if it can be overhauled, that will make a massive difference.”
Gary said there was a need for “authentic queer-led journalism and queer-led stories” but said “unfortunately PinkNews has kind of lost its credibility in that arena”.
Damian told us he believed PinkNews’ future could only be secured if Mr Cohen and Dr James took a step back.
“The fact you cannot separate the two is extremely problematic,” he said. “Ben needs to be held to account. Until the day that happens, I don’t know if there’s a future for PinkNews.”
The BBC was informed that Mr Cohen and Dr James were not able to provide a statement at this time, but we understand that their position is that the allegations made against them are false.
The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People must be more than just a rhetorical occasion. It is a cry in the face of the occupation and a reminder to the world that the Palestinian cause remains a human struggle for justice and freedom. Venezuela has demonstrated that true solidarity is a stance and action, not just words that are forgotten when the occasion is over.
It is a call to countries and movements that believe in freedom and justice to stand with Palestine, just as Palestine always stands with all those who struggle against occupation and colonialism.
