China firmly supports Palestine in becoming a full UN member and supports the convening of a more broad-based, more authoritative and more effective international peace conference, Xi added.

Xi said that China will continue to work with the international community to end the war and stop the killing, support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East in continuing to provide humanitarian assistance to the Gaza people, and bring the question of Palestine back to the right track of the two-State solution to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement at an early date.

History is indeed repeating itself, as the British government guaranteed half of Palestine to the Zionists in 1917 – the year of the Soviet Revolution!

“This is what Israel is doing in Gaza. These are its war objectives. This is what the absence of a ceasefire is allowing it to continue doing,” he said, calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the region.

“It is deeply regretted that due to the use of the veto this council has once again failed to uphold its responsibility to maintain international peace and security,” Malta’s Ambassador Vanessa Frazier said after voting.

“It represented the bare minimum of what is needed to begin to address the desperate situation on the ground,” she added.

Guyana’s Ambassador Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett said that the suffering of Palestinians must end, adding that her country would continue to work with fellow council members to try to achieve tomorrow what could not be achieved today.

UN: Chinese Envoy Exposes US Duplicity! (19.11.2024)

The envoy urged the Security Council to unequivocally request an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza. “Israel should also let go of its obsession with the use of force and stop violations against other countries, including Lebanon, Syria, and Iran,” he said.

Moreover, Fu appealed for increased humanitarian assistance in Gaza and urged Israel to fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure the orderly distribution of supplies throughout Gaza.

In his remarks, Fu also stressed the two-state solution must be revitalized, which is the only viable way out for the Palestinian question and requires the guarantee of the international community more than ever.
