Are we victims of the conditions of the moment – which generate in us the ability to see things in a different light that is existentially required by some type of external agency – be it Church or State? I have also experienced transvection – but this has been invariably upon the back of a Chinese (serpentine) dragon that is just as happy to traverse the air – as it is the watery depths! The dragon transportations have been between different spiritual dimensions – rather than within or around my current location. Needless to say, my sponsoring of an “International Brigade of Levitators” was met with a stunned silence at a recent meeting of the Communist Party! A very kind Comrade took me aside and explained that Marx and Engels tended to travel everywhere by boat and train!

In the Egyptian Hermetica, for instance, the god Toth (often through the commentary of Hermes) equates thinking about distant places (by imagining different physical environs in the mind) was exactly the same in principle as the individual travelling to these destinations – despite nothing physically taking place. Imagining structures in the mind, for Toth, was tantamount to creating something from nothing (every creationist story), and achieving movement without going anywhere. All theistic and psychedelic traditions make ample use of the ability to “imagine” – whilst the argument continues to as the proper relationship of the imagination to the physical world.

Musing on Transgenderism!

BMA-UK – Musings on Transgenderism! (21.5.2024)

Although the Theravada believes that the six senses must be kept clean by a continuous disassociation with the outside world to avoid regression – the Mahayana and Tantrayana both teach that once the six senses are purified by emptying the mind of greed, hatred and delusion, the mind and body remains permanently “clean” in all situations (with no regression). In other words, even by engaging in the outside world as lay-people – the six senses of those who are enlightened will never become sullied. This reality can be seen in the Vimalakirti Nirdesa Sutra and the Altar Sutra – as well as in the stories of the Mahasiddhis. Monastics can return to lay-life – but lay-people – given the right conditions, can also fully realise Enlightenment!

Antonio Gramsci - Socialist

BMA (UK): Article Assessing George Galloway! (2.1.2024)

In his work Gramsci talked of taking over already existing Bourgeois establishments and ‘transforming’ them from within. In this method, Gramsci seemed to be advocating that an outright external (disruptive) Revolution was not required in the material world – only through a slow but continuous process of internal ‘gutting’ which sees the Bourgeois innards fully extracted and replaced with Proletariat equivalents! For Gramsci, the Revolution happens right under the nose of the Bourgeoisie – who cannot resist or prevent it because they possess NO idea that it is happening! Buddhism: The Marxist-Dhamma Interface! (14.12.2023)

Although Buddhism is apolitical – in the rel world even an apolitical entity has a political function – even if that function involves the permanent position of ‘opposing’ any and all manifestations of human ignorance known as “political” structures! What are these structures? These unwanted structures are any manifestations premised upon greed, hatred, and delusion, and which function within the inverted world of dualistic being. Such constructs are inherently suffering producing and are not conducive to human happiness. This is why Buddhists strive to uproot greed, hatred, and delusion from their minds and bodies – and in so doing generate the conditions for a better outward world.
