In a statement Saturday, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin denounced the new laws signed by Newsom as “despicable” and “a flagrant attempt to endanger our officers.”

Legal experts said the measures may offer limited protection to immigrants and will likely face constitutional challenges from the federal government.

Kevin Johnson, an immigration law professor and former dean of the UC Davis School of Law, stated that the legislation may have a marginal impact on federal enforcement operations.

He noted that a 2018 California law restricting immigration arrests at superior court buildings did not stop the Trump administration from detaining people at courts this year.

“The federal government is going to continue doing what it’s doing, in one form or another,” Johnson said. “I do think the legislation gives some hope and optimism to communities that feel under fire, vulnerable and basically hated by the federal government.”

Perhaps Turkey is doing this by supporting illegal immigration into the UK? If the boats can be caught en route – then it is an easy task to name and shame the Turkish companies behind the manufacturers of these boats. Yes – it plays into the far-right narrative – but that is because the far-right is, in this instance, is simply relaying the news, albeit for their own nefarious purposes. Why is the far-left silent on this issue – and effectively dead in the water? Is it because the far-left has burned all its bridges by remaining silent about the US-inspired Neo-Nazi regime that has been in power in Ukraine since 2014 – whilst subsequently declaring Russia’s response to it as “Imperialist”. With a track record like that – the far-right – like a broken clock – is going to be right twice a day just be default! Meanwhile, Starmer is so unpopular that Labour has completely lost the plot – with this episode being so stage-managed it is ridiculous! Imagine not knowing where a product is made in today’s 24-hour capitalist society – where every bean is accounted for!

Analysts say the administration’s immigration crackdown is widening from undocumented migrants and students to nearly all legal visa holders. This could leave many at risk of losing their status.

New Pew Research Centre data shows the U.S. immigrant population fell by almost 1.5 million in the first half of this year, the first net decline in decades. The total dropped to 51.9 million in June from 53.3 million in January. Researchers attribute the decline largely to stricter policies, which have led to both deportations and voluntary departures.

The White House argues that fewer immigrants ease pressure on public services and help the labour market recover. But experts warn that the long-term effects may be damaging, with labour shortages in key industries such as agriculture, healthcare and services. With the retirement of the baby boomer generation, they note, U.S. reliance on immigrant labour could actually deepen.

ACIC Chief Executive Officer Heather Cook said in a statement that the consumed volume of methylamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and MDMA had an estimated street value of 11.5 billion Australian dollars (7.4 billion U.S. dollars), with methylamphetamine accounting for 8.9 billion Australian dollars (5.7 billion U.S. dollars).

“Serious and organized crime groups exploit Australia’s high demand for illicit drugs and are focused on maximising profit at the expense of the community’s security and wellbeing,” she said.

ACIC said its modelling suggests that increasing consumption of methylamphetamine, cocaine and MDMA will continue through to 2027, while the heroin market is not expected to change significantly for the next two years.

In response, public education remains a cornerstone of prevention. Awareness campaigns help communities especially women, children, and at risk groups recognize and avoid trafficking schemes. I find that White people do not like to be reminded of this fact. Human-beings still existing in various stages of tribal or feudal society around the world were unduly impressed with cheaply produced Western mirrors (thought to be “spirit-catchers”) and glass-beads – thought to be from the sky (that is, the various gods that might exist “above”). In exchange for these cheaply produced trinkets, the representatives of the West (all competing against one another for influence) stole land, everything found in the land (natural resources), and took control of all natural resources already in circulation – such as iron, gold, silver, diamonds, salt, and all kinds of other things (including food stuffs). As the indigenous people had no concept of a “fair-price” or “capitalist exploitation” – they gave these things willingly out of a sense of innocence, dignity and friendship (perhaps superior to the Westerners they confronted). When they protested – the Western settlers simply took their lives.
