First, on this occasion, we extend our warmest congratulations and appreciation to the Palestinian people, and to every Palestinian woman – the martyr, the prisoner, the wounded, the educator, the mother, the fighter, the displaced, and the refugee – for her steadfastness and resilience in the face of challenges and hardships. Palestinian women have always been, and remain, a beacon of hope for their people, and a symbol of unwavering strength and dignity in all circumstances. On this occasion, we note that the resilience of Palestinian women is embodied in their daily actions, their capacity for endurance and sacrifice, their protection of the family and society, and their strengthening of national identity and collective memory. What Palestinian women have offered in these difficult circumstances is legendary steadfastness, embodying the will of an entire people in the face of occupation and displacement, and affirming that the will to live and live with dignity cannot be broken.
A mourning Iranian mother, whose young son was martyred in a US-Israeli terrorist attack on his elementary school, shares her grief.
The West (including Israel) implemented an illegal overthrow of the democratically elected government in Ukraine – and instigated in its place the “Maidan” Neo-Nazi junta. It is interesting that thousands of IDF Veterans have travelled to Kyiv to join its Neo-Nazi “Azov” Battalions (along with untold numbers of Jews from around the world) – whilst simultaneously still upholding a pronounced victimhood regarding the Nazi German holocaust (which my grandparents risked their lives fighting during WWII). These contradictions need to stop and Israel must be held accountable for its despicable behaviour, attitudes, and crimes. Israel – like the US – must be brought in-line with International Law. Despite having endless and unjust (illegal) sanctions imposed upon it – the Iranian people have managed to construct a well-thought-out defensive plan – and successfully apply it against the unjust might of the US and the Zionists! Meanwhile, as the racist regime of Israel does not care about the welfare of non-White (non-Jewish) people – it has today murdered 57 Iranian schoolgirls (with many more wounded) – using Western supplied missiles. This is the sheer evil of it all in microcosm.
“It was sobering to see this wall for real on my visit to the Holy Land, and we were stopped at various checkpoints and intimidated by local Israeli militias who told us that we couldn’t visit Palestinian families in the occupied West Bank.
“But this Christmas morning, as well as thinking about the walls that divide and separate the Holy Land, I’m also thinking of all the walls and barriers we erect across the whole of the world and, perhaps, most alarming of all, the ones we build around ourselves and construct in our hearts, and of how our fearful shielding of ourselves from strangers.
“The strangers we encounter in the homeless on our streets, refugees seeking asylum, young people robbed of opportunity and growing up without hope for the future, means that we are in danger of even failing to welcome Christ when he comes.”
