He continued: “It is disturbing news that an evacuation order for Al-Quds Hospital has been received from Israel. We have stressed repeatedly that it is impossible for these overcrowded hospitals to safely evacuate patients. They must be allowed to perform their life-saving functions. They must be protected.”
On Friday, Israel issued a warning to “evacuate” Al-Quds Hospital, South of Gaza City, and empty it of patients and displaced people “in preparation for its bombing.”
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that it “received a threat from the Occupation Authorities to bomb Al-Quds Hospital.”
The Red Crescent spokesperson added that the Israeli Occupation Army demanded “the immediate evacuation of the hospital, which houses more than 400 patients and about 12,000 displaced civilians who took refuge in it as a safe place.”
