How Steven Spielberg Altered JG Ballard’s ‘Empire of the Sun’! (22.2.2024)

I agree, the film is stunning, moving and dialectically thrilling – but did Spielberg work his Zionist magic? After watching the Blu-ray of Empire of the Sun a number of times and re-reading JG Ballard’s beautiful novel – I have yet again detected Spielberg fiddling with the perception of the world – using his usual method of precise omission. Jim declares that he has become an ‘atheist’ – but Spielberg censors-out the fact that he is also thinking of joining the Communist Party. Chiang Kai-Shek made a habit of beheading any caught Communist guerrillas – placing their heads on spikes in the centre of Shanghai for all to see. Jim had become impressed with the Communist Unions that agitated for the rights of workers employed by ‘White’ Europeans (such as his father) – and the battle waged by Mao Zedong and his forces living in the hills (a famous Chinese actress had resigned from her lavish profession in the Movies and the cinemas – and had joined Mao Zedong’s Communist guerrillas) – all omitted by Spielberg.

Usually, the right-wing are highly reactionary against any form of progress – including electrical communication. China offered the West cheap and widespread 5G – but the anti-China racism of the US spread to the UK and EU – and this led to the already built infrastructure (made at China’s expense) being ripped-up and contracts cancelled! Still, whilst predatory capitalism keeps us all in abject poverty, fear and endless warfare – China is progressing at a fast pace. As regards Stephen King, the ‘Cell’ is superb – even though I certainly do not agree with his support for Neo-Nazi Ukraine – or his silence regarding the widespread ‘banning’ of Oliver Stone’s film ‘Ukraine on Fire’ – proving the fascist-nature of the Neo-Nazi Ukrainian Junta (backed by the US)!

Of course, Franco was armed by Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy – whilst the USSR rallied the International Working Class (via the Communist Party). These brave men and women made their own way to Spain and fought and died in the ‘International Brigades’ – under the protection and care of the Soviet Union whilst their own countries considered them ‘criminals’. Even the Bourgeois tractor – George Orwell – joined an anti-Soviet ‘Anarchist’ Brigade! The point is that Grover Furr correctly states that the US, UK and France (even during 1940) would rather have fought with Nazi Germany against the USSR – than with the USSR against Nazi Germany! Joseph Stalin was the genuine hero of the International Working-Class – and Leon Trotsky the worst type of International Traitor!

The British public can relate to this! Afterall, for quite some time now, there’s been nothing ‘Socialist’ about (the balding) George – but both men are certainly National Socialist! Rochdale will go LibDems and I can watch George fail for free! Of course, George Galloway’s children have Islamic names and do NOT live in the UK – so they will NOT be conscripted in any future UK wars against Russia, China or Iran! Stalin did not create the Soviet State – but was rather the product of historical materialism mediated by a Marxist-Engels dialectic. Stalin did not create the Soiet State – the Soviet State created Stalin – whilst Stalin carefully and expertly developed the dialectical forces unleashed by Lenin and his Bolsheviks. Trotsky wanted to turn the historical clock backwards and wipe-out all of the USSR’s development under Stalin so that capitalism could re-emerge throughout the USSR as a means to placate the International Fascist countries of Germany, Italy and Japan.

Karate Kid Movie [1984] Blu-Ray – “Mr Miyagi” Reconsidered! (14.1.2024)

The authors of the film ‘Karate Kid’ (1984) had a paradox to overcome. On the one hand they wanted a traditional ‘Okinawan’ Karate-Do master – who at the same time had NOTHING to do with Okinawa either before or during WWII! This entire idea is racist and disrespectful to the hundreds of thousands of Okinawan men, women and children who died being trapped between the Imperial Japanese Army and the invading US Marines – and those who died fighting the Americans or were murdered by US troops after surrender. Of course, many thousands of Okinawan women and girls were raped by US troops once captured. Although Mr Miyagi had to represent everything ‘martial’ that defines Okinawan history – including its stand against the invading US Forces – he also had to be completely ‘detached’ from everything ethnically ‘Okinawan’ so as not to disturb the Eurocentric sensitivities of the average US audience!
