Honeywood Museum - Changing Perspectives! Disabled People in the Workforce!

UK: Honeywood Museum – Changing Perspectives! Disabled People in the Workforce – Exhibition! (21.2/2026)

Of course, this might not be the case due to severity – but each human being should be granted dignity. Whatever the case, the able-bodied society at large should not “punish” those who happen to possess a disability – just because such an individual requires assistance here or there. Punishing the poor and needy derives from the Christian notion of “charity” – which suggests god is punishing the impoverished and the disabled for an imagined “sin” of some kind. This attitude has been taken on by modern capitalist society as disabled people, due to their enhanced needs, are not as efficient to exploit for naked profit as their able-bodied colleagues are. Given a chance and appropriate support, many disabled people are able to contribute to society. In the cases where they are not – such individuals should be cared for with compassion by society at large.

Stephen Sene from Sene Pest Control said it was the oldest hive he had come across in "over seven years"

UK: Ten-Year Old [Active] Bee Hive Found in Leatherhead Leisure Centre! (30.9.2025)

Once thermal imaging confirmed that a large hive was between the walls, Mr Sene and a colleague began the process of safely removing the bees.

He explained: “We removed the queen bee first and placed her safely in a special bee cage.

“Then it’s a case of removing the worker bees and dismantling the comb, which took around a day to complete. The work must be done slowly to avoid causing the bees any undue stress or harm.”

Once removed, the bees were placed in quarantine for a couple of weeks to ensure that they were free from disease.

Mr Pope added: “We were sorry we had to disturb the hive after 10 years of peace, but we are grateful to Stephen and his expert team for their help.”

Two Rectory Eagles Restored!

Sutton: St Nicholas Church – Where Stone Eagle’s Dare! (13.9.2025)

Why did a Sutton Town Planner come up with the idea of a) demolishing the Old Rectory (which should have been a listed building), and b) placing the Gate-Eagles on two-plinths jutting-out of Council Flat walls? Was this an example of Free Masonry gone mad – or madder than their usual schemes? I spent about 15-minutes talking with a local historian in St Nicholas Church, Sutton, during an exhibition of the stain-glassed window and various stones. He told me that the Rectory Gates were originally in West Street – but the eagles ended up on the main road situated on the exterior walls of the new Council Houses – now named “Beech Tree Place” – effectively around the corner in a different street.

China: Support for Rural “Left-Behind” Women [and Disabled] Intensified! (13.04.2025)

It encourages their involvement in care services for left-behind children, elderly care and support for people with disabilities.

The working plan also calls for assistance to rural left-behind women with disabilities or financial difficulties and their families, while supporting charitable organizations in launching targeted public welfare initiatives.

In addition, the state departments would strengthen the protection of rural left-behind women’s legal rights, work to prevent discrimination and domestic violence, and expand access to healthcare services for this population, according to the working plan.

Rural left-behind women are defined as those who remain in rural areas while their husbands work away from home for more than six months.

Socialist Science - Ageing Population!

China: Friendly Community Built for Seniors with Cognitive Impairments! (6.1.2025)

It outlines efforts to encourage the setup of memory-related clinics in healthcare institutions and cognitive impairment departments in eligible hospitals, with improved standard for senile dementia diagnosis and treatment.

“Good nursing is crucial for people with Alzheimer’s disease,” said PUMCH doctor Gao Jing, adding that a healthy lifestyle and medication are also important to fight the disease.

To boost the provision of nursing services, the plan also outlines a model integrating home, community and institution-based care for senile dementia, and encourages the construction of caregiving facilities in rural and urban communities.

By 2030, dedicated care units for seniors with dementia will account for 50 percent of elderly care institutions with over 100 beds and adequate services capabilities, and 15 million people will be trained for dementia care, according to the plan.
