This is an inevitable and legitimate measure taken in keeping with the requirement of the DPRK Constitution which clearly defines the ROK as a hostile State, and due to the serious security circumstances running to the unpredictable brink of war owing to the grave political and military provocations of the hostile forces.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection of the DPRK confirmed that the blasting had no negative effect on the surrounding ecological environment and that the routes linking the DPRK to the ROK have been completely separated.

A spokesman for the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK said that the DPRK will continue to take measures to permanently fortify the closed southern border.

Given the critical situation where touch-and-go danger of war is ever-escalating in the area along the southern border of the DPRK, the General Staff of the KPA proclaims that it will take a substantial military step to completely separate the territory of the DPRK, where its sovereignty is exercised, from the territory of the ROK (Republic of Korea).

To this end, a project will be launched first on October 9 to completely cut off roads and railways connected to the ROK and fortify the relevant areas of our side with strong defence structures.

For our army to permanently shut off and block the southern border with the ROK, the primary hostile state and invariable principal enemy, in the current situation is a self-defensive measure for inhibiting war and defending the security of the DPRK.

Our army sent a telephone message to the U.S. forces side at 09:45 of September 9, prompted by an intention to prevent any misjudgment and accidental conflict over the fortification project to be launched in the acute southern border area.

He warmly wished that the players, who displayed the bright prospect of the DPRK’s women football, would firmly hold the Asian and world championship titles and further consolidate their position.

In congratulation of them, he had a picture taken with them, who had the glory and fortune of having given a great joy and optimism to all the people across the country.

Unable to repress their deep emotion at the great love and trust shown by the fatherly Marshal, the players and coaches made a firm determination to bring more gold medals and brilliant gold trophies of patriotism to the glorious DPRK, their motherland.

Sportspersons and working people presented bouquets to the players and coaches who got off the plane with gold medals, and congratulated them, putting garlands around their necks.

Parents embraced their daughters with great pride and joy.

Women footballers left Pyongyang International Airport on an open vehicle decorated with flowers.

The streets of Pyongyang were filled with the fervent atmosphere of welcoming the young footballers who excited the women’s football world again.

They extended thanks to the cheering citizens, reminding themselves of the time when they played games, warmly encouraged by all the people across the country.

Throughout the whole of Asia – the Imperial Japanese killed and wounded around 60 million men, women, and children! This number included many hundreds of White Europeans captured as POWs or civilian workers and their families. Millions of women and girls were routinely raped by the Imperial Japanese and their Korean and Taiwanese allies. This is why the North Korean people in this video train so diligently – in the hope that such atrocities will never be allowed to happen again!

Pyongyang, September 8th, 2024 (KCNA) — Overseas compatriots sent floral baskets to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill here on the occasion of the 76th birthday of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

On the same day, floral baskets in names of the family of Zhang Wei-hua, Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, and the manager of the Heilongjiang Provincial National Economic Development Company of China were placed at the statues of the great leaders. (End)
