So, from the perspective of the Chinese people? I believe that any rational Chinese today will have a simple idea: fortunately, I was not born in the United States. Fortunately, this happened under their system. This strengthens our conclusion: only socialism can save China, and only the Communist Party of China can lead China. Without such political parties, systems and road design, no one can jump out of the ruts and dilemmas of the development model that the United States represents.

From the “big reconciliation” discussion of “drinking coffee and drinking human blood” at the beginning of 2023, to the concept of “killing line” at the end of the year providing us with a new perspective on American society, to the unfolding of the Epstein Papers in early 2024 – we are systematically seeing the back and dark side of this “lighthouse” from a level-up or even top-down perspective: from the “killing line” at the bottom to the “Loli Island” at the top, a complete map is gradually becoming clear.

The article quoted Wolff as suggesting that the Dalai Lama’s appearance at the event was likely related to financial interests. It also claimed that the Dalai Lama attended and spoke at an event organized by the controversial group NXIVM in 2009, allegedly receiving one million U.S. dollars in compensation.

Epstein, a U.S. financier with extensive ties to political and business elites in the United States and Europe, was convicted in 2008 of soliciting a minor for prostitution. He was arrested again in July 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and died in prison the following month, with authorities ruling his death a suicide.

The DOJ announced in January that it was releasing more than 3 million pages of files on Epstein over a month after the deadline that the U.S. Congress set for it to release all related files. However, it has not issued detailed explanations regarding the nature or significance of individual names mentioned in the materials.

“Texas’s new actions since the government’s filing demonstrate an escalation of the state’s measures to block Border Patrol’s ability to patrol or even to survey the border and be in a position to respond to emergencies,” Elizabeth B. Prelogar, the DOJ’ s solicitor general, wrote in the filing.

The DOJ is asking the Supreme Court to intervene in an ongoing legal battle between the state and the federal government and overrule a 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that prevents Border Patrol agents from cutting the concertina wire Texas has strung along the Rio Grande.

Texas troopers and National Guard members began to take “full control” of the 47-acre Shelby Park on Wednesday night, erecting concertina wire and fencing at the park to close off access to the public, the Texas Tribune reported.

Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas said he was told that the park would be closed indefinitely and the state government took the action to prevent immigrants from crossing into Texas.

The tractor trailer with a fake plate was carrying 67 migrants when it was found on Monday, Francisco Garduno Yanez, head of Mexico’s National Immigration Institute, said at a press conference on Wednesday.

There was no sign of water in the refrigerated tractor-trailer and no visible working air conditioning unit, according to San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood. Those found alive were hot to the touch and suffering from heat stroke and exhaustion.

Temperatures in San Antonio climbed to 101 degrees Fahrenheit (38.3 degrees centigrade) on Monday, while the heat in the packed trailer was likely way higher than that, according to the U.S. National Weather Service.
