Karen Cassiday, a clinical psychologist and managing director of the Anxiety Treatment Centre of Greater Chicago and past president of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, said the pandemic was detrimental to the overall mental health of people in the US. She advised anyone who needs it to seek help.

Historically, “the norm for any population is to show some impairment in mental health when a mass event occurs, such as famine or war”, she said. “After six months most people adapt, and the general population returns to its normal pre-event level of mental health.”

However, in the case of the pandemic, this did not occur. “The pandemic had several unique characteristics that lent themselves to triggering anxiety, depression. Anxiety disorders do not go away on their own. They can be readily treated.”

This is an inverted and entirely incorrect viewpoint. Vaccinations work and save endless lives – therefore McCullough’s opinions and research have the potential to ‘fear-monger’ the general population away from this life-saving medical treatment! He cherry-picks available data and then presents this data in a manner that appears to reflect his opinion – this is NOT science – but faith-based reasoning. He tried this recently – by placing a paper on a ‘Lancet’ related website – in the hope that ‘Lancet’ would become surreptitiously ‘associated’ with his anti-intellectual agenda! A cursory and ‘objective’ review of his work, however, quickly revealed its inverted nature. This is why his latest attempt at misleading the general public was soon taken off the Lancet-related site!

China: Medical Experts Stress the Use of “Science” in Seeking COVID-19 Origins! (4.4.2023)

“The data have neither been removed nor deleted since they were added. In accordance with the usual practice of publication, and by agreement with the journal and GISAID, the data are released simultaneously with formal publication, but the link to access the data for journal review has always existed,” the scientists wrote.

However, they stressed that all these data only showed that the market acted as “an early amplifier during the pandemic due to the high number of consumers every day, resulting in many of the initially identified infection clusters”.

“The origin of the virus involving animal-to-human transmission cannot be determined based on current data,” they wrote.

The researchers said that hypotheses and conclusions presented in the report released by the WHO in March 2021 are both scientific and objective.

They added that tracing the origins of the virus is a scientific issue that requires scientific evidence and logical inference. Determining the origins of the novel coronavirus may still be a long way off.
