A new treatment combination for Helicobacter pylori — a common stomach bacterium linked to ulcers and gastritis — based on a domestically developed drug has shown comparable, and in some cases superior, efficacy in eradicating the infection compared with standard therapy, according to recent clinical research.

The therapy offers a promising new approach to tackling the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance, said the study published in the international journal The Lancet Infectious Diseases in late September.

The experimental triple therapy centres on rifasutenizol, a novel antimicrobial agent developed specifically for H. pylori infection by Tennor Therapeutics, a pharmaceutical company based in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

Osprey Publishing is a British Publishing Company specializing in military history originally based in Oxford. Being English myself – and having been born in Oxford – I appreciate a clear-thinking and non-bias account of historical matters. The book above – Confederate Infantry [1861-1865] penned by the British experts Ian Drury & Gerry Embleton (1993) – is an extraordinary introduction to the subject of the Confederate Army in general – and the Confederate infantryman in-particular. An estimation of the Confederate causalities sustained during four-years of fighting (1861-1865) is as follows:

Confederate Casualties = 483,026

Killed in Action (KIA) = 94,000

Wounded in Action (WIA) = 194,026

Died of Diseases = 164,000

Died as Prisoners of War (POWs) = 31,000

Even so, the spread of the popularity of the far-right cannot be merely because of its incoherent ideology. It seems that rather this upsurge in popularity derives from an alteration in the perception of the general public. It could be that Covid-19 – and/or the vaccination – might include the propensity to alter how the thought processes operate. This is probably part of the so-called “Long Covid” symptoms that millions are reporting. The NHS has no answer to this other than “put up with it” – or “take various types of pain-killers”. The deficient imagination of the far-right would have you believe that vaccinations “cause” the illnesses they are designed to prevent. This indicates the inverted thinking of the far-right – and it is difficult to see what relevance such stupidity would possess for real-world action. Covid-19 is deadly and the vaccination has saved millions from immediate death. What we are living with now is the side-effects of the illness – and perhaps the new type of vaccine that has been deployed (I understand it alters DNA).

Amid a fresh rise in COVID-19 infections in several neighbouring countries, the Bangladeshi interim government has asked people to refrain from traveling to those destinations unless absolutely necessary.

As pointed out in the white paper, the U.S. government, instead of facing squarely its failure in response to Covid-19 and reflecting on its shortcomings, has tried to shift the blame and divert people’s attention by shamelessly politicizing SARS-CoV-2 origins tracing. It has severely undermined joint international efforts in the fight against the pandemic and become a weak link in global public health governance. Substantial evidence suggested the Covid-19 might have emerged in the United States earlier than its officially-claimed timeline, and earlier than the outbreak in China. A thorough and in-depth investigation into the origins of the virus should be conducted in the United States. The United States should respond to the reasonable concern of the international community, and give a responsible answer to the world.
