Today, Cuba pays an emotional tribute to the Venezuelan fighters fallen in defense of the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, as well as to the sacred Venezuelan homeland.

We also express a heartfelt tribute to the Cuban fighters who, in unequal combat, faced the imperialist enemy who desecrated the sovereignty of the Venezuelan homeland and protected the Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro.

Honour and glory to the fighters fallen in unequal combat; love and peace to the Venezuelan men and women killed by the imperialist horde.

We celebrate 25 years of the inaugural assistance flight that marked the beginning of the Integral Health Agreement between Cuba and Venezuela, a model, exemplary, and unique relationship; sustained by unity and deep loyal, and Chavista friendship. This alliance is not guided by selfish or material interests, but by complementarity solidarity, and the supreme value of cooperation, based on the idea: win-win.

Cuban historiography agrees on pointing out that it was a sabotage prepared at the embarkation point by agents at the service of the United States to prevent the arrival of the shipment of arms and ammunition in Cuba. At the burial of the victims (March 5), Fidel Castro said for the first time the slogan that would accompany the Cuban revolutionary process until today: Homeland or Death.
