UK Charity Regulator – “Unlawful” for British Charities – to Fund-Raise for Israeli Soldiers! (10.1.2025)

On Thursday, the Charity Commission issued a warning against Chabad Lubavitch Centres North East London and Essex Limited after the charity received 180 complaints for raising money for a soldier fighting for the Israeli army in northern Israel.

In October 2023, Chabad Lubavitch Centres North East London and Essex Limited set up a fundraising page for a soldier stationed in northern Israel.

The page, which was eventually removed in January 2024, raised approximately £2.280. From that amount, Chabad sent £937 to an individual soldier.

The trustees were unable to account for how those funds were spent. But the charity told the Charity Commission that the remaining funds were spent on non-lethal military equipment purchased by the trustees and sent to the same soldier in Israel.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry on Wednesday announced an emergency declaration to bring together federal, state and local resources.

“The mission now is to facilitate support and coordinate safety procedures to keep our residents and our visitors safe,” New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell told a news conference Wednesday afternoon, urging the public not to get close to the scene “if there is no essential need to do so.”

Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley announced that the American college football game scheduled for Wednesday in nearby venue in New Orleans will be postponed to Thursday.

“The Superdome is going to be safe tomorrow night,” former New Orleans mayor Mitch Landrieu told media.

The FBI Houston and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office “are currently conducting law enforcement activity” in north Houston “related to this morning’s New Orleans attack,” the FBI said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

The attack is the latest one of high-profile vehicle attacks on crowds around the world in years. The deadliest one occurred in July 2016, when a man drove a heavy truck to strike hundreds of people who were gathering to watch Bastille Day fireworks in Nice, France, leaving 84 people dead and more than 200 others injured. The IS claimed it was responsible for the attack.

Put simply, leaving my house is hard. Very fatiguingly hard.
I’ve been privileged to work with four wonderful guides – Brandy, Chipp, Sammy and now Shawn.

That all feels ripped away from me when I’m refused service.
At the restaurant, more customers expressed their shock at the way I was treated. But for me, the customers who seemed annoyed sparked echoes in my mind of every occasion I’ve shared refusals to social media over the past eight years.
There I’ve faced constant demands to justify why I should want equal treatment and, more perturbingly, threats of violence and even death.
Two years ago, I was refused access to different branches of Tesco in London.
Tesco apologised and promised further training for staff.

This is an interesting and eclectic text that provides very good in-depth information regarding the extensive criminal network operated by the Falun Gong Cult. More people are waking-up to the criminality of this US-supported cult. The irony is that the misrepresentation of Chinese culture by the Falun Gong Cult is itself entirely “racist”! China upholds the rule of law and the Chinese government brooks no illegal or violent activities, Lin said, adding that relevant authorities will bring the criminal to justice in accordance with the law.

Lin emphasized that this was an isolated incident and similar cases could happen in any country, saying that he believes that it will not affect exchanges between China and Japan.
