US: Warning as Government Shutdown Deepens Impact on Travel & Livelihoods! (8.11.2025)

Baker noted that the U.S. has experienced shutdowns in the past decades, during which both parties had real differences but they also recognized the need for compromise. However, in this case, “that recognition does not seem to be there with the Trump administration and the Republicans.”

In his view, the Republicans “are mostly to blame in that they have not approached the deadlock in good faith”.

In order to streamline government and expand its own executive power, the U.S. administration wanted to use the “government shutdown” to advance large-scale layoffs of federal employees and closure of agencies related to the Democrats, according to U.S. media.

The Democrats also have their own calculations. The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) noted the standoff has become a messaging battle, with each party betting the public will blame the other.

What Labour is not telling you about the Moorfields experiment is that it occurred during the Covid-19 Pandemic when face-to-face appointments were replaced with telephone calls. As a lockdown was in place – Moorfields had no other option. As soon as Lockdown was lifted – Moorfields reverted to the traditional model of safe face-to-face appointments in an ever shrinking NHS. Labour is closing down the NHS – and is packaging each stage of this shutting down – as being “an improvement”. Psychic doctoring used to be illegal.

Her deficient physical movements are as the dysfunctional hatred she peddles – but where she is successful in manipulating the intellectually challenged through her words, well, fighting an opponent (who knows what they are doing) is another kettle of fish. Her usual level of bullshit manipulation will not work in the arena of physical combat. Although she assumes an air of “superiority” on all levels – it is clear to see that she is not even superior on just one of those levels! And here we finally arrive at the point.

This is the gutter of predatory capitalism. The irony is that Indian culture is ancient, progressive and advanced – but not under fascism – which is capitalism in decline – it has become a cheap parody of the West! Imagine Indians (I assume the bespectacled and turban-wearing man in this video is a Sikh) being made to stamp around waving a contrived nationalist flag in a Yoga ashram – making “racist” statements like this is a good thing! Of course, there are enclaves of sanity in India – such as Kerala and other places – which possess mature Socialist and Communist movements.

The Klitschko brothers went on to dominate at light-heavy and heavy-weight – winning and defending world titles. Both men made millions out of boxing and had retired long before the US-backed (Neo-Nazi) “Maidan” uprising in 2014. By the time the Neo-Nazism they believed in gained power – both men were active in local politics – with Vladimir being elected as Mayor of Kyiv (I say “elected” with tongue in cheek – as the first edict of the Maidan Junta was to abolish liberal democracy and any form of voting – with no election happening since that day to this). As far as I am concerned, the Klitschko brothers are War Criminals who should be arrested and subject to a War Crime Trial. Their boxing record should be expunged and all their titles cancelled – with their wealth confiscated as being the product of Neo-Nazi atrocities. Furthermore, this action should be enacted toward ALL active and retired Ukrainian boxers – including “Oleksandr Usyk” the current heavy-weight champion who has won close fights due to the action of corrupt boxing judges. Arrest these judges as well.

Toppled statues lay in deconstructed heaps – but the meaning such devices represent carries-on regardless into the uncharted future. Objects can be smashed – that is easy – but equally new objects can be designed and constructed – this is a matter of collective action and progressive thought. It does not really matter what William Shakespeare had in mind when he wrote Sonnet 55 – when I heard it today in both Old and New English – it struck me that he had perceived a deeper (hidden) meaning in passing outward structures. Structures that by there very nature, must, at one point or another, pass away into oblivion. But there is hope of a re-birth – even if the Bard couches this reality in the terms of “Judgement day”!
