China: Nauru’s President – David Adeang – Traces His Ancestral Roots to Kaiping, Guangdong – Reunites with Relatives – Enjoying Seasonal Lychees! (9.2.2026)

David Adeang led his family to worship his Chinese ancestors according to his hometown customs – and express his remembrance and gratitude to his ancestors. After that, the President and his party also planted a banyan tree opposite the Su’an’s residence, symbolizing the family roots. On that day, Nauruan President Adeang sat around with the villagers and ate seasonal lychees (Dragon Eyes). Adeang’s maternal grandmother – Tan Huixia (譚惠霞) – is 81 years old and in good spirits.

At the Overseas Chinese Museum in the Overseas Chinese Capital of China, Adeang and his delegation visited the “Roots in Overseas Chinese Township” Jiangmen Overseas Chinese History Exhibition, learned about the arduous and glorious entrepreneurial history of overseas Jiangmen overseas Chinese, and appreciated the profound and unique overseas Chinese culture in Jiangmen Wuyi Overseas Chinese Township.

Nauru: President David Adeang Arrives in Guangzhou for Ancestral Visit & Chinese New Year! (9.2.2026)

During the visit, Adeang will also travel to Jiangmen City, his ancestral hometown in Guangdong, to reunite with clan members and celebrate Xiaonian. He will also visit Guangzhou and Foshan, meet with provincial and municipal officials, and tour local enterprises to explore ways to further deepen practical cooperation between Guangdong and Nauru.

Most ethnic Chinese in Nauru originate from Guangdong Province. According to verification by relevant authorities, Adeang’s maternal great-grandfather hailed from Zhongxinli, Zhonggu Village, Kaiping City, Jiangmen. His ancestors migrated to Southeast Asia more than a century ago in search of a livelihood and later settled in Nauru.

Epstein, a U.S. financier with extensive ties to political and business elites in the United States and Europe, was convicted in 2008 of soliciting a minor for prostitution. He was arrested again in July 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and died in prison the following month, with authorities ruling his death a suicide. 

The DOJ announced in January that it was releasing more than 3 million pages of files on Epstein over a month after the deadline that the U.S. Congress set for it to release all related files. However, it has not issued detailed explanations regarding the nature or significance of individual names mentioned in the materials.

Initially, as a Hakka, Sun Yatsen led a left-leaning Nationalism – but following 1911 and the first reforms – right-wing factions came to the forefront and took-over the movement. This led to the US-backed Chiang Kai-Shek assuming power who carried-out mass-murders of Chinese people – and even attacked and burned-down the famous Shaolin Temple in Henan (during 1928) – as the Head Monk refused to align the Temple with US imperialist intentions (there was also Chinese Nationalists who were lay-disciples of the Shaolin Temple – and Chiang Kai-Shek considered this a threat to his political power). Indeed, this Nationalist lurch to the right led to the rise of the separate Communist Party of China (CPC) – which split from Nationalist on ideological grounds. The Nationalists deviated away from Sun Yatsen’s (Chinese) vision and embraced a US model of predatory capitalism and liberal democracy – two completely alien concepts to the ethnic Chinese mind. The CPC chose Marxist-Leninism and centralised democracy – and this dichotomy explains the situation between Taiwan and the Mainland today. The Nationalists invaded Taiwan in the late 1940s and have dominated it ever since. Under Trump II – White (Eurocentric) attitudes are being inflicted once again throughout Taiwan society.

Of course, this is part of a Socialist World Revolution that has not yet spread all over the world. Socialist countries are spread-out like oasis dispersed throughout the capitalist countries which denote success in terms of the growth and efficiency of the exploitation of the workers. In this regard, the capitalist West views Socialist progression – that is, the freedom of the workers – as an “error”. On the other-hand, all the progressive nations of the earth appear on display in this article in the DPRK.
