If British Socialism was both preserved and functional – I wound not care who plays Dr Who or what madness any team of script-writers can come up with. Perhaps genuine creative madness gave the world the Daleks, Cybermen and the Time Lords, etc, but it is failing today – not because the right-wing is right – but because the right-wing is winning. The right-wing is winning because the Bourgeoisie is right-wing. A divisive Dr Who is merely camouflage for the destruction of all versions of European Socialism by the relentless spread and domination of US (capitalist-driven) culture. The Bourgeoisie is a past-master at “stealing” behind the scenes what it appears to be “giving” on the surface. Finally, Ncuti Gatwa, the new Dr Who, bizarrely made a comment in a recent interview – where he used a right-wing trope claiming everything “trickles-down” from the top – a fascist ideology proven “wrong” time and time again!

UN: General Assembly Backs Palestinian Bid for UN Membership! (11.5.2024)

UNITED NATIONS, May 10 (Xinhua) — The UN General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday adopted a resolution supporting the Palestinian bid to become a full UN member by recognizing it as qualified to join and recommending that the Security Council “reconsider the matter favourably.”

The resolution was adopted with 143 votes in favor and nine against, including the United States and Israel, while 25 countries abstained. China voted for the resolution.

The resolution states, “The State of Palestine… should therefore be admitted to membership” and “recommends that the Security Council reconsider the matter favourably.”

The resolution “determines” that a State of Palestine is qualified for membership – dropping the original language that in the UN General Assembly’s judgment it is “a peace-loving state.” It therefore recommends that the Security Council reconsider its request “favourably.”

In May 1947, September 3rd became a working day, although no one formally cancelled the holiday. And on December 23rd, May 9th also became a working day (the day off was moved to January 1st). And until 1965, there were no big celebrations on the occasion of the two days of victory in the USSR: everything was limited to fireworks and unofficial celebrations. When in 1965 – the year of the 20th Anniversary of the Victory – the country celebrated this holiday on a nationwide scale for the first time after the Great Patriotic War, they no longer remembered the second day of the Victory (Over Japan). It found itself in the shadow of the Victory Over Germany, although formally on May 9th all Veterans were honoured: both those who fought in the West and those who fought in the Far East. And over time, May 9th began to personify the Soviet Victory in World War II in general, and almost no one remembered the September date. And if, nevertheless, there was talk about Victory Over Japan, then only September 2nd was mentioned – as the day of Japanese Surrender.

“I sign because my Jewish values of inquiry, empathy and moral courage compel me to,” said an alumna of CC ’03 and CLS ’10 who grew up in both New York and Jerusalem. “These values were nurtured in Columbia classrooms, and I know other Columbia students share them. Until my university can conduct itself in accordance with those values internally, within its communities, and around the world, it does not deserve my esteem, much less contributions of my time, money or skills.”

The alumni letter follows the University’s unprecedented aggressive actions against pro-Palestine student protesters, including suspensions and expulsion processes with inadequate due process.

USSR: Remembering the Great Working Class Victory of WWII! (9.5.2024)

Modern Russians commemorate the sacrifice but not the purpose. Russian soldiers carry the Red Flag but possess no connection with Socialism. The Hammer and Sickle emblem will be seen everywhere throughout Russia – but children are now taught it implies the “Russian race” and “Russian fighting spirit” – when in fact it means none of these reactionary things. Fourteen other countries contributed troops to the Soviet Red Army – which was NOT just “Russian”. Modern (capitalist) Russia distorts as it remembers – merely because its government is afraid that such symbols might inspire another wave of Socialist consciousness throughout the Russian mind and body. The revival of the USSR is just as feared in Bourgeois Russia as it is in Bourgeois America! This is why so many ethnic Russian authors regurgitate the old American prejudice against the USSR – as if such idiocy was entirely their own inventions!

The BBC is “banned” from China for continuously publishing unsubstantiated lies and racist misrepresentations. Like most of the British media, the BBC (like the Guardian and the Qatari-owned Al Jazeera) – continuously misrepresents the non-White and non-capitalist world! Every so often, however, the sheer weight of these contradictions of this misreporting takes its toll – and the occasional “true” story penetrates this barrier of falsehood. Below, is yet another “White” (Zionist) racially-motivated act of aggression aimed at Black people currently being used as “paid-slaves” in that part of stolen Palestine currently termed “Israel”! The BBC, like all those other hypocrites, are afraid following the International Court of Justice (ICJ) judgement declaring Zionist Israel is “Guilty” of “Plausible Genocide”!
