“For example, if a patient sees a flame and wants to move away, that ‘wanting’ signal is captured by the chip and converted into a command to move the hand,” he added.

While the foundational BCI research began decades ago in the West, Chinese teams are now rapidly advancing the technology.

In July 2025, Nature reported that “China is rising swiftly in the field of brain-computer interfaces”, with devices that even outperform Elon Musk’s Neuralink project in certain aspects.

“Although China does not have as long a research history in the field as the United States, development is extremely fast,” Qu said, noting China’s advantages in medical infrastructure and its population scale for testing.

Patients’ hopes lifted

The BCI device developed by Shanghai StairMed is particularly remarkable. With 64 electrodes — each only 1 percent of the width of a human hair — it is one of the smallest and least invasive implantable BCIs in the world. The first male recipient has already used it to play chess and video racing games.

The problem with ideation and science is that the concrete nature of the external world is often ignored in the pursuit of pushing the permitted bourgeois envelope ever further toward ethereal theories that are non-threatening to the capitalist status quo – as bourgeois science can never be used to discredit capitalism in anyway. having said that, I think the distances are so vast between solar systems and different parts of the universe-multiverse – that humanity will not be able to traverse these distances in the traditional sense. A single light year still represents the distance light travels in one-year (5.88 trillion miles).

When visiting London’s Chinatown today – we ate Yum Cha – the area was relaxed and quite sweet. Everyone was calm, relaxed, and perfectly willing to get along. It seems to me that we have a “rent a mob” in the UK representing the far-right which descends upon a town, brutalises its non-White population, and tries to convince the White population that they are dying-out, and then head back to their Northern strongholds – where many cousins are also brothers and sisters, if you catch my drift. Remember the research into why it was that certain “White” working class populations appeared to be suffering from genetic diseases whilst living near mobile telephone masts – when no such damage was recorded from these mechanisms during extensive scientific trials. It turned-out this DNA problem had nothing to do with the radiation from mobile telephone towers – but was the consequence of indigenous White groups choosing to interbreed amongst brothers, sisters, fathers, daughters, and cousins, etc.

Using an open magnetic control strategy, we achieved initial controlled movement and steering within tissues, allowing the fibre to move like an earthworm through soil and record neural signals all along the path without the need for additional surgeries,” said Yan.

Zhu Meifang, a strategic adviser of the study, who is also director of the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Fibre Materials at Donghua University, said this breakthrough aims to transition bioelectronics from fixed passive recording to mobile intelligent collaboration.

Science has revealed that “dying” is not as simple as many religions have assumed it to be. An individual can be “brain” dead – whilst the body is otherwise still biologically functioning and in all other ways “healthy”. This is usually the scenario that involves the medical harvesting of healthy organs for transplant into other individuals with medical needs. Obviously, the transplanting process leads to the physical body being legally and lawfully “euthanised” – justified by the now deceased owner having given prior, written consent. Another example is that the brain can be fully functioning and cogent – whilst the body it occupies is either clinically or biologically “dead” (sometimes “both”). In this situation, the body is usually kept alive – through mechanical – means that are “withdrawn” at some point due to the “expense” of its maintaining by the healthcare provider.

Has Covid-19 Altered the physiology of the Brain?

Even so, the spread of the popularity of the far-right cannot be merely because of its incoherent ideology. The popularity of this ridiculous mode of intellectual dysfunctionality cannot be because it possesses any inherent credibility. It seems that rather this upsurge in popularity derives from an alteration in the perception of the general public. It could be that Covid-19 – and/or the vaccination – might include the propensity to alter how the thought processes operate. This is probably part of the so-called “Long Covid” symptoms that millions are reporting. The NHS has no answer to this other than “put up with it” – or “take various types of pain-killers”. The deficient imagination of the far-right would have you believe that vaccinations “cause” the illnesses they are designed to prevent. This indicates the inverted thinking of the far-right – and it is difficult to see what relevance such stupidity would possess for real-world action. Covid-19 is deadly and the vaccination has saved millions from immediate death. What we are living with now is the side-effects of the illness – and perhaps the new type of vaccine that has been deployed (I understand it alters DNA).
