DPRK: Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Congratulatory Message to Syrian President! (21.4.2024)

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the message extended warm congratulations to the Syrian president and, through him, to the government and people of Syria on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of its independence on behalf of the government and people of the DPRK.

After the independence, the Syrian people have achieved many successes in the struggle to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country and achieve socio-economic changes, resolutely standing against the ceaseless moves of all hostile forces for aggression and intervention, the message said.

Expressing the belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger, the message extended invariable support and encouragement to the just cause of the government and people of Syria for defending the sovereignty, peace and security of the country. The Syrian President in the message expressed deep thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending congratulations on the occasion of the March 8th Revolution Day.

We are grateful to Kim Jong Un for supporting the Syrian people in their struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve its territorial integrity, the message noted.

Expressing belief that the friendly relations between Syria and the DPRK would continue to develop on good terms, the message affirmed that they would make joint efforts to further boost the bilateral cooperation in the interests of the two countries and two peoples.

Israel’s attacks on Gaza have so far killed more than 11,000 Palestinians, including more than 4,500 children and 3,000 women, and wounded over 27,000 others, said Palestinian Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila in a press conference on Saturday.

The Israeli escalation followed a massive attack launched by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) that runs Gaza, which killed about 1,200 people in Israel, according to revised figure announced by Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lior Haiat on Saturday. Hamas also took more than 200 people to Gaza as hostages during the attack.

Qatar’s Emir announced during the summit that his country was trying to mediate the release of hostages.

Hamas on Saturday called on the leaders of Arab and Islamic nations to pressure Israel to stop its “war” against the besieged coastal enclave.
