Prisoners sentenced to death would be held in complete isolation, with visits restricted exclusively to authorized personnel. Details of executions would be published on the Israel Prison Service’s website, while the identities of those carrying out the sentence would remain confidential.

Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war, the regime has sharply escalated its violations against Palestinian detainees, particularly those from the besieged Gaza Strip, including starvation, torture, sexual violence and systematic denial of medical care.

The Militia participating in this Parade was drawn from 15 provinces, covering the main Anti-Japanese Base Areas led by the Communist Party of China (CPC) during the Anti-Japanese War. Some of the Women’s Militia Unit came from the Railway Guerrillas, Plain Guerrillas and other fine traditional Militia Units who achieved great military achievements. This included Militia organizations that developed unique tactics such as tunnel warfare, mine warfare, and sparrow warfare. In the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the size of Socialist China’s Militia reached more than 2.6 million. The vast number of militias participated in the war and fought bravely to annihilate more than 106,000 enemies, causing the Imperial Japanese invaders to fall in vast numbers during the People’s War.

The Japanese imperialists inflicted tyranny and violence unprecedented in human history in an attempt to stamp out even the soul and spirit of Korea, but they could not break its people’s steadfast spirit for independence; the patriotic anti-Japanese struggle of the people to win back their national sovereignty at the cost of their lives did not stop even a moment.

The armed struggle of their fine sons and daughters against the militarist Japan that emerged as a power in Asia was a death-defying, bloody resistance they fought shouldering the destiny of their country and their descendants and overcoming severe ordeals and painful sacrifices; and the anti-Japanese revolutionary feats they performed from the consistent independent stand are clear proof of the course the Korean people pioneered to achieve independence by their own efforts.

It is in no way an accidental event in the course of history, but the victory won by the all-people anti-Japanese forces that fought unto death in the spirit of independence. Herein lies the revolutionary character and political importance of our cause of liberation.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry on Wednesday announced an emergency declaration to bring together federal, state and local resources.

“The mission now is to facilitate support and coordinate safety procedures to keep our residents and our visitors safe,” New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell told a news conference Wednesday afternoon, urging the public not to get close to the scene “if there is no essential need to do so.”

Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley announced that the American college football game scheduled for Wednesday in nearby venue in New Orleans will be postponed to Thursday.

“The Superdome is going to be safe tomorrow night,” former New Orleans mayor Mitch Landrieu told media.

The FBI Houston and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office “are currently conducting law enforcement activity” in north Houston “related to this morning’s New Orleans attack,” the FBI said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

The attack is the latest one of high-profile vehicle attacks on crowds around the world in years. The deadliest one occurred in July 2016, when a man drove a heavy truck to strike hundreds of people who were gathering to watch Bastille Day fireworks in Nice, France, leaving 84 people dead and more than 200 others injured. The IS claimed it was responsible for the attack.
