Palestine: Wednesday, May 15, 2024 – 76th Anniversary of the Nakba! (15.5.2024)

The Zionists have also built the wall of annexation and apartheid! restricting the movement of Palestinian citizens with hundreds of military and security barriers, The Zionists have demolished homes, arrested citizens and continued killing, and has no end to the limits of continuing to impose the siege on the Gaza Strip through launching three aggressive wars against it that have claimed the lives of thousands of its population, leaving tens of thousands wounded and disabled, and homes and facilities destroyed.

In contrast to this Zionist policy, our people, in all their locations, inside and outside the country, still cling to their inherent right to the land of their origination, and the right to return and reside there. Therefore, they embarked upon the path of National Struggle from the first moments in which the colonial plans emerged towards their Palestinian land, and they continued their struggle. Patriotic tirelessness requires great sacrifices on the path of perpetual struggle!

Palestine: 76th “Nakba” Anniversary – Cabinet Affirms “NO Statute of Limitation” for Rights of the Palestinian People! (12.5.2024)

Nakba in Palestine describes a process of ethnic cleansing in which an unarmed native nation was destroyed and its population displaced systematically to be replaced by Jewish occupiers from all over the world. The Nakba resulted in the displacement of more than 1 million Palestinians out of the 1.4 million Palestinians who were living in historical Palestine in 1948 in 1,300 villages and towns.

The majority of the displaced Palestinians ended up in neighbouring Arab countries, in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and other countries in the world. Furthermore, thousands of Palestinians – who stayed in the land controlled by Israeli occupation in 1948 – were driven out of their homes and lands which were seized.

According to the historical documentary evidence, Israeli occupation controlled 774 towns and villages and destroyed 531 Palestinian towns and villages during the Nakba. The atrocities of Zionist forces also included more than 70 massacres in which more than 15 thousand Palestinians were martyred, The Israeli occupation has been waging its aggression since the Nakba, and has escalated it sharply during the current aggression against Gaza Strip since October 7th, 2023.

“I sign because my Jewish values of inquiry, empathy and moral courage compel me to,” said an alumna of CC ’03 and CLS ’10 who grew up in both New York and Jerusalem. “These values were nurtured in Columbia classrooms, and I know other Columbia students share them. Until my university can conduct itself in accordance with those values internally, within its communities, and around the world, it does not deserve my esteem, much less contributions of my time, money or skills.”

The alumni letter follows the University’s unprecedented aggressive actions against pro-Palestine student protesters, including suspensions and expulsion processes with inadequate due process.

Palestine: Hamas Trusts Xinhua with Ceasefire Demands! (27.4.2024)

The statement urged the international community to expose the genocide targeting children and civilians in Gaza, prioritize ending it, and resist Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s destabilizing policies aimed at the region, driven by personal political motives.

Eighteen countries issued a joint statement on Thursday, calling on Hamas to “immediately release” the hostages it holds, stating that doing so “will lead to an immediate and long-term ceasefire in Gaza.”

Referring to nations with citizens held captive by Hamas since the attack on Israel last year, these countries stated that releasing the hostages “will facilitate additional humanitarian aid to all parts of Gaza and bring about a lasting cessation of hostilities.”

The statement explained that, in addition, residents in Gaza “will be able to return to their homes and lands with prior arrangements to ensure shelter and humanitarian assistance.”

The statement added, “Let us end this crisis so that we can all focus our efforts on bringing peace and stability to the region.”

Gaza: Israeli Genocide “Business As Usual”! (17.4.2024)

Earlier, at least eight Palestinian citizens were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting vehicles in the Tuffah neighbourhood in central Gaza City.

Additionally, three Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli airstrikes north of the Nusseirat refugee camp. Occupation forces also demolished a number of residential homes north of the camp with explosives.

In northern Gaza, Israeli occupation forces continued for the second consecutive day to force all families present in the town of Beit Hanoun to evacuate, and several youths were arrested.

In a preliminary toll, the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has resulted in 33,843 documented Palestinian fatalities, in addition to 76,575 injuries since October 7, 2023.

There is something that was prepared in advance regarding the Saudi-Israeli intersection on the issue of normalization, as this issue was a life-or-death battle for the Israeli enemy and the Americans. The battle is broader than the Gaza Strip and will not end within the Gaza borders. It is not our battle alone. ‘Israel’ was preparing and conducting manoeuvres to fight on the basis of many theatres and more than one front and placed all its capabilities in the service of perpetuating a battle on several fronts. The Zionists were forced to stop their aggression without achieving its goals, this practically means a victory for the Resistance. We do not favour the two-State solution and consider everything that was said to be empty talk.”
