Even so, the spread of the popularity of the far-right cannot be merely because of its incoherent ideology. The popularity of this ridiculous mode of intellectual dysfunctionality cannot be because it possesses any inherent credibility. It seems that rather this upsurge in popularity derives from an alteration in the perception of the general public. It could be that Covid-19 – and/or the vaccination – might include the propensity to alter how the thought processes operate. This is probably part of the so-called “Long Covid” symptoms that millions are reporting. The NHS has no answer to this other than “put up with it” – or “take various types of pain-killers”. The deficient imagination of the far-right would have you believe that vaccinations “cause” the illnesses they are designed to prevent. This indicates the inverted thinking of the far-right – and it is difficult to see what relevance such stupidity would possess for real-world action. Covid-19 is deadly and the vaccination has saved millions from immediate death. What we are living with now is the side-effects of the illness – and perhaps the new type of vaccine that has been deployed (I understand it alters DNA).
It would seem that between the Tang and (Islamic) Yuan Dynasties (around six-hundred years) this Lion sat dutifully outside a temple (or a tomb) – before being transported to the West and extensively “altered” to suit Western sensitivities – although it is highly likely that very few Europeans knew what an African (or “Indian”) lion actually looked like. Most Chinese lions I have seen are sat-down and I have never seen such an object stood-up on all fours. It would be interesting to see what the Lion in question looked like before the alterations. Finally, it is interesting that the British author (and former Submarine Commander in the Royal Navy) – Gavin Menzies (1937-2020) – wrote a book entitled “1434: The Year a Chinese Fleet Sailed to Italy and Ignited the Renaissance” (2008). He discusses the Chinese delegation that met with Pope Eugenius IV in Florence (1434) – and suggests that China had some type of diplomatic connection with the City States (which included Venice). Those who criticise Menzies’ work – are the same people who would never have allowed for idea that St Mark’s Lion could be of a “Chinese” origin. Given that this Lion arrived in Venice around 1264 – this Chinese Mission would have occurred only 166-years later.
I agree, the film is stunning, moving and dialectically thrilling – but did Spielberg work his Zionist magic? After watching the Blu-ray of Empire of the Sun a number of times and re-reading JG Ballard’s beautiful novel – I have yet again detected Spielberg fiddling with the perception of the world – using his usual method of precise omission. Jim declares that he has become an ‘atheist’ – but Spielberg censors-out the fact that he is also thinking of joining the Communist Party. Chiang Kai-Shek made a habit of beheading any caught Communist guerrillas – placing their heads on spikes in the centre of Shanghai for all to see. Jim had become impressed with the Communist Unions that agitated for the rights of workers employed by ‘White’ Europeans (such as his father) – and the battle waged by Mao Zedong and his forces living in the hills (a famous Chinese actress had resigned from her lavish profession in the Movies and the cinemas – and had joined Mao Zedong’s Communist guerrillas) – all omitted by Spielberg.
In his work Gramsci talked of taking over already existing Bourgeois establishments and ‘transforming’ them from within. In this method, Gramsci seemed to be advocating that an outright external (disruptive) Revolution was not required in the material world – only through a slow but continuous process of internal ‘gutting’ which sees the Bourgeois innards fully extracted and replaced with Proletariat equivalents! For Gramsci, the Revolution happens right under the nose of the Bourgeoisie – who cannot resist or prevent it because they possess NO idea that it is happening! This is the kind of manipulative nonsense the Bourgeois publishing industry participates in nearly all the time! To circumnavigate this madness – I uploaded the published article (free) online – together with my original full-length article so that it can be read in its original context. Nowadays, of course, I have very little to do with the likes of New Dawn or Fortean Times – as I find the ‘White’, Eurocentric racism that permeates these magazines to be unpalatable – particularly coming from a Western cultures that where living in caves when most of the world was constructing vast and advanced civilisations! Ironically, without finding any extra-terrestrial stone artefacts!
