Opened in 1974 on the 30th Anniversary of the defeat of Nazi German forces in the Arctic, the Monument is located at an altitude of about 200 metres above the sea level. It is here that Soviet artillery crews stood their ground, repelling enemy attacks. Standing 42 metres tall, the monument is one of the tallest in Russia. Also on display at the site are anti-aircraft guns, neighboured by a sloped triangular pyramid symbolising a flag at half-mast in mourning.

When Israeli forces withdrew from al-Shifa Hospital in early April 2024, after a deadly two-week siege, the hospital was left in ruins. Needless to say, the learned Benedictine Brothers were not impressed with my missive – and certainly refused to print it in a Christian academic journal. One Brother took me to one side and explained that the Catholic concept of “Interfaith” was a misnomer – as its true purpose was to have the minds of Buddhists infiltrated by Catholic dogma – and for these Buddhists to “convert” to Christianity as a means to stop their heathen (non-White) souls descending into the fires of hell following their physical death. So far – so good. In military terms – this type of unscripted and quite often messy advance to gain intelligence about the enemy is termed “reconnaissance under fire”. The vehicle through which these Brothers delivered their condescending attitudes was one of racism and discrimination – disguised as religious piety (even those non-Whites who convert – are inferior to White Christians regardless of strength of belief). I was also informed that Asian Buddhists were invariably “Socialistic” – an ideology rejected by the Catholic Church.
Nowhere is it taught in the US or modern Russia that the USSR was an important ally of the UK and the US between 1941-1945 – or that the Nazi Germans and their Catholic alleys inflicted around 40 million casualties (killed and wounded) in the USSR! These Soviet men, women, and children were mass-murdered by Germans, Italians, Spanish, Irish, Finnish, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonia, French, Belgians, Dutch, Norse, Danish, and Slovakian invaders (many far-right “volunteers” from already conquered or supposedly “neutral countries like Eire) – with entire cadres of Catholic priests accompany various of these units to ensure “spiritual strength” between the massacres. After the war, not a single Catholic priest stood trial – whilst the Vatican assisted in the escape of tens of thousands of Nazi War Criminals to Central and South America.
A social media user on the Chinese platform RedNote discovered the white fungal growth on an apple she had bought from a month earlier. She then posted a photo of it online, which soon attracted thousands of likes, including a Xu Rongju, a doctoral student at the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Kunming Institute of Botany.
The institute believed that this is very rare and has research value so it decided to purchase it. The institute identified the growth on the apple as Schizophyllum, also known as the splitgill mushroom – a type of fungus with fan-shaped caps.
