Raegan had authorised local Police to drop a military-grade bomb on a domestic house holding Black people engaged in a rent-dispute! For Raegan the murder of Huey Newton may have been viewed as an exercise in tying-up loose-ends – as the ideological complexion of the world appeared to change. Trump’s apparent attack on USAID is an illusion. White power, even White fascist power, remains not only unchallenged, but in a far-stronger position than it has been for decades! Palestinian Communist Party Expresses Solidarity with the Syrian Communist Party! (5.2.2025)

This reactionary, dark step is nothing but part of an imperialist plan aimed at dismantling the Syrian National Movement and aborting any attempt to establish a Democratic National Regime that serves the interests of the people and their working class. By restricting the Progressive Forces, this regime seeks to pave the way for colonial plunder of Syria’s resources and tighten its control over it in the interest of the imperialist powers and their agents in the region.

The Palestinian Communist Party condemns in the strongest terms this unjust and irresponsible decision, and affirms that Marxist-Leninist thought will remain rooted in Syria, and no force will be able to obliterate or eliminate it. PRC Tariffs Announced!

China: Plans to Add Counter-Tariffs on US Products Announced! (5.2.2025)

Luo Zhiheng, chief economist at Yuekai Securities, said China should resort to effective countermeasures against any tariff threats by the White House, while optimizing domestic policies and anchoring market expectations.

“Based on the experiences gained during the first Trump administration, China can utilize measures such as imposing additional tariffs and export controls to counter trade threats from the U.S.,” Luo said.

He added that China should continue to broaden the list of sanctioned goods and entities, and increase Beijing’s negotiation leverage with Washington.

Given heightened global uncertainties, China should scale up the intensity of its fiscal and monetary policies, actively expand domestic demand to counter any potential downturns in external demand, and steadily push forward high-level opening-up, expand networks with trade partners and diversify its trade portfolios, Luo said.

Trump made the remarks in a joint press conference with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, without providing details about how to conduct a resettlement procedure.

“The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too,” he said. “We’re going to develop it, create thousands and thousands of jobs, and it’ll be something that the entire Middle East can be very proud of.”
