Japan Needs Correct Understanding of China: Chinese Ambassador! (30.4.2023)

Regarding the discharge plan of Fukushima nuclear wastewater into the sea, Wu said that the disposal of nuclear-contaminated water has a direct bearing on the global marine environment and human health and safety, and no one can make a conclusion as to how long the impact will last and how much harm it will bring.

China’s position on the issue is clear, that is, it firmly opposes Japan’s discharge plan of nuclear-contaminated water, he said, noting that the Japanese side should take the strong opposition at home and abroad seriously, honestly fulfill its international obligations and deal with the nuclear-contaminated water in the safest and most prudent way.

When asked about the Group of Seven (G7)’s recent accusations against China, Wu said the G7 has become a political tool of some countries to wantonly interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and suppress the development and progress of other countries.

The G7 does not represent the international community and their consensus is not a global consensus, the ambassador stressed.

However, to the disappointment of South Korean entrepreneurs, Yoon seemed to have made little progress in persuading the United States to reduce the negative impact of the two acts on South Korean companies.

“With regard to the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act that were the core agenda (in the Yoon-Biden meeting), (Yoon) has not protected our industry and companies at all,” Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the main opposition Democratic Party, said at a party meeting on Friday.

Seoul’s blind pro-U.S. diplomacy even at the cost of its own national interests has fueled concerns among South Koreans.

“The worry is that (South Korea) is rushing into a situation where (the country) has to depend on the United States for everything,” Kyunghyang Shinmun newspaper said in an editorial on Thursday.

The editorial warned that South Korea was losing its diplomatic and security autonomy as it would be more difficult for Seoul to reject any demand from Washington.

“American Pie” only belongs to America; for others, it is nothing but pie in the sky.

Chinese Gold Miners Memorial Garden Opens in New Zealand! (30.4.2023)

The project shows a deep-seated respect for the history of Ross and the early settlers, who included the Chinese gold miners of the 1860s, said Lash, who also expressed gratitude to the Chinese community for supporting the project.

“The memorial is dedicated to all those Chinese pioneers before us who made this place their home,” said Steven Wong, president of the New Zealand Chinese History and Culture Association and chairman of the Federation of the Chinese Association of New Zealand.

Wong said his great grandfather came to New Zealand with his brother during the gold mining period in the 1860s, and that his family’s stories reflect the history of the West Coast gold rush in New Zealand, which prompted the creation of Ross Township in 1865.

Modern Russia cannot establish the dialectical absurdity which suggests its policy of openly discriminating against (and attempting to ideologically and physically ‘annihilate’) the LGBTQN+ Community – equates to ‘preserving’ and ‘respecting’ cultural diversity – whilst somehow being tantamount to representing an act of ‘anti-fascism’! Indeed, should such a disrespectful and destructive attitude be allowed to prevail, this the establishment of the very ‘essence’ of fascism! I would say this modern Russian attitude is a typical ‘Trotskyite’ attempt at manipulating the political left into passively accepting typical right-wing tropes of understanding and behaviour! Disagreeing with the concept of ‘gayness’ should not be confused with removing the ‘right’ of that community to exist!
