China: Commemorative Stamps Issued Marking 130th Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Birth – 纪念毛泽东同志诞辰130周年! (26.12.2023)

BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) — China Post will issue a commemorative stamp set on Tuesday to mark the 130th anniversary of the birth of Mao Zedong.

A total of 7.8 million of these stamp sets, with a denomination of 4.8 yuan (about 68 U.S. cents) for each set, can be purchased at designated postal outlets and online shops over the next six months.

Each set contains four stamps, featuring the themes of persistence in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, construction of the Ming Tombs Reservoir, the holding of a global vision, and returning to the Jinggangshan Mountains.

Mao was born on Dec. 26, 1893 and died on Sept. 9th, 1976.

The most important lesson, taught by the present reality in which the noble spirit and purpose of the World Declaration of Human Rights have not been realized yet, is that genuine human rights can be guaranteed and realized only when the sovereignty is thoroughly defended.

Human rights, not guaranteed by the sovereignty of a state, are nothing but a castle on the sand, and if the national power is weak and the sovereignty is not defended, it is impossible to guarantee elementary rights to life and existence, to say nothing of individuals’ dignity and rights to development.

The most serious challenge threatening the existence and development of mankind at present is the unethical crimes of the U.S. and its followers that unhesitatingly invade sovereign states and massacre innocent inhabitants in order to maintain their hegemony and realize their interests.

When we – the workers – break this chain of abuse, we rise-up and take direct action against those who harms us. Between these Revolutionary events, we make the best of it whilst having to live within predatory capitalism. For many, poverty, disability, and illness reduce us to mere automatons being at the mercy of those who do not care whether we live or die. For others, like myself, we use our minds and bodies within the existing legal framework to resist the excesses of capitalism and help those who are like us. This blog is purely educational and opposes class oppression. I hope others draw strength from these Proletariat words and take these leftwing (Communist) ideas into the material world – and effectively fight injustice. I make no secret that I am a Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist-Maoist – and admire hundreds of others such as Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Ho Chi Minh and General Giap! We must stand-up for the workers and advance with courage against the bullets of the Bourgeoisie. Do not be afraid. If and when they kill us – we are free from the suffering inflicted upon our minds and bodies!

Although Buddhism is apolitical – in the rel world even an apolitical entity has a political function – even if that function involves the permanent position of ‘opposing’ any and all manifestations of human ignorance known as “political” structures! What are these structures? These unwanted structures are any manifestations premised upon greed, hatred, and delusion, and which function within the inverted world of dualistic being. Such constructs are inherently suffering producing and are not conducive to human happiness. This is why Buddhists strive to uproot greed, hatred, and delusion from their minds and bodies – and in so doing generate the conditions for a better outward world. It is only in the capitalist West and post-1945 Japan – that a perverse right-wing Buddhism has developed premised upon the very greed, hatred and delusion the Buddha stated causes ALL human suffering in the world! The Public Health Department of Borikhamxay Province has implemented sanitation and health promotional work, especially in the area of reproductive health work. This policy has been active in integrating mother and childcare work by providing services at provincial hospitals, district hospitals, and small hospitals. In addition, they have been moving to the villages 6 times a year with a focus on spreading information, knowledge about reproductive health – working simultaneously to target people and relevant groups in general – with the intention of reducing the death rate of mothers and children every year.
