Countries in the region warned Israel on Saturday against further ground operations in the coastal enclave. Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it “condemns and denounces any ground operations carried out by Israel due to the threat they pose to the lives of Palestinian civilians”.

Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said in a post on social media platform X that an “Israeli ground escalation will have dire results for civilians, and devastating humanitarian and economic dimensions.”

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and visiting Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani stressed in Jordan’s capital Amman the importance of joint Arab action to halt the ongoing Israel-Hamas escalation.

Also in the day, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused the West of failing to stop the Israeli offensive and slammed Israel’s attacks on Gaza at a pro-Palestinian rally. He said that “it’s the West that is most responsible” for the killings in Gaza.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned in a statement that Israeli behavior “devoid of any controls or accountability” may ignite the Middle East, fuel hatred in the world, and threaten regional and international peace.

The Israel-Hamas conflict has entered its 22nd day, and the death toll of Palestinians from Israeli military strikes on the Gaza Strip has risen to 7,703, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said on Saturday.

Meanwhile, about 1,400 Israelis were killed, the majority of them in the Hamas offensive that occurred three weeks ago, while about 230 civilians, the majority of them civilians, are being held captive by Hamas.

As Alexis Godillot was born in 1816 – it is unlikely that he would have invented the Attaché Case in 1826 aged just “10-years old”! In fact, evidence suggests that Alexis Godillot invented the Attaché Case around 1843 – when Godillot was aged around 27-years old. The problem with this history is that sources state that Godillot founded a luggage firm (with his son) in 1843 – but if this was the case – his son could not have been older than 9-10-years old! What follows is essentially an informative advertisement – which I do NOT endorse. Palestinian, 40 years old, killed by bullets fired by an Israeli colonist in north of West Bank

NABLUS, Saturday, October 28, 2023 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man identified as Bilal Mohammad Saleh, 40, was killed this morning from bullets fired by an Israeli colonist in the town of al-Sawiyeh, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to medical sources.

Sources said Saleh was killed while harvesting his olive crops when settlers attacked him.

The Ministry of Health said Saleh was shot in the chest and critically wounded before he was declared dead.

The Palestinian Red Crescent stated that it had been cut off “completely from contact with the Operation Rooms in the Gaza Strip – in light of the Occupation cutting off communications and the Internet.”

Hamas held the Occupation – Washington and all Western capitals which supported it – fully responsible for the series of heinous massacres and their repercussions.
The Occupation Navy bombed the Gaza City seashore with a number of missiles. The Occupation also continues to threaten and target hospitals

How the Imperial War Museum Relegated the “Black Experience” of WWII to a Back Corridor! (26.10.2023)

When we entered a back corridor – slightly disheartened by the shallowness of the IWM coverage of WWII from an ordinary British and Chinese perspective – we were astonished to find that a ‘Black’ British art exhibition – regarding WWII – had been consigned to an ‘out of the way’ place! The corridor is both bare and bleak – the sort of place one (momentarily) traverses through to get to another place – or perhaps rest for a moment to get one’s bearings. In no civilised way should this location be interpreted as ‘suitable’ for an art exhibition – as it reeks with Eurocentric disdain! Such is the contemporary IWM and the disjointed face it shows to a general public it intends to fleece in its gift shops!

The BBC enabled and facilitated the crimes of Jimmy Saville and when his victims voiced their pain, suffering and anguish, the BBC was at the forefront of supressing these witnesses. The message of the BBC was that the Bourgeois is in control of this society – and that the BBC supports that self-declared role. The ordinary people – those who were the victims of Jimmy Saville – were portrayed by the BBC as powerless and existing only to serve as play-things for the Bourgeoisie. When Jimmy Saville died in 2011 – the BBC deliberately ‘celebrated’ his life and ignored the reality of his offending. Today, some 12-years after his death, the BBC is attempting to absolve its own reputation by creating the false narrative that the BBC was just as much a victim of Jimmy Saville as everyone else. Jimmy Saville and the BBC represent exactly the same reality.
