The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un oversaw the launch and warmly congratulated all the cadres, scientists and technicians of the NATA and relevant institutions on having made a great contribution to enhancing the Republic’s war deterrent and most correctly and excellently implementing the resolution of the Eighth Congress of the WPK.
The NATA is to present to the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th WPK Central Committee a plan for continuing to secure the capability to reconnoitre the South Korean region and the region of operational interest of the DPRK armed forces by additionally launching several reconnaissance satellites in a short span of time.
Meanwhile, it is necessary to figure it out, despite all the obvious inconsistencies. After all, the 1983 incident became a convenient pretext for Washington and its allies to unleash another paranoid-hysterical campaign against the USSR and contributed to the unity of the anti-Communist Bloc. Let me just remind you that the most important accusation against us is the disproportionate use of force against a civilian aeroplane belonging to South Korean Airlines, flying on the first day of autumn 1983 as Flight 007 from New York – via Anchorage – to Seoul, as a result of which 269 passengers and crew died.
On June 24th, 1994, UN Secretary-General Boutrus Galli acknowledged that “the Combined Military Command was NOT established by the UN Security Council as a subsidiary organization under its control – and was solely under the command of the United States.”
On December 21st, 1998, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan also said of the military forces dispatched by the United States to the Korean War – or its command, “None of my predecessors gave any permission to any country to associate the name of the United States with the name of the United Nations.” Since then, several UN officials have repeatedly emphasized that “the UN Combined Command is NOT a UN organization – and is NOT under the command or control of the UN.”
The fact is that the appropriation of the designation “United Nations Military Command” by the US was only a front for its aggressive policies in the region – which remains a flagrant violation of International Law, including the UN Charter, and a shameless insult to all UN Member countries.
The failure of domestic and foreign policies and the resulting series of strategic crises have already sealed America’s inevitable fate – a reality that is vividly unfolding in Europe and the Middle East.
Now, whether or not a new geopolitical crisis is created in the Asia-Pacific region that hastens the end of the United States – depends entirely on the actions of the United States.
The United States’ move to strengthen its alliance against anti-American and independent countries will accelerate the retributive power and solidarity of the just international community and will serve as a catalyst to completely destroy the hegemonic position of the evil empire.
The current unstable nternational situation is a crisis unfolding for the United States – and its strategic defeat is only a matter of time.
The Standing Meeting deliberated on proposed bills and passed the relevant Decrees for the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly to consider – regarding “On the Establishment of Missile Industry Day in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” “On the Establishment of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s Education Committee as the Replacement of the Ministry of Education,” and “On Amending and Supplementing the Tidal Area Law of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” and “On Amending and Supplementing the River Law of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” – all of which were unanimously adopted.
