Iran: Reuters Claim “Chinese Domestic Firms Barred from Using US, Israeli Cybersecurity Software Amid ‘Security Concerns'” – But is it True? (15.1.2026)

Initially, I came across this article on Press TV via Telegram – but found that Google is “banning” Iranian media – whilst the US and Israel attempt a violent overthrow of the Iranian government. Instead, I had to open the below article via the Microsoft search-engine. Whether wordpress shadow-bans or ghosts this article is anyone’s guess. I have checked the Mainland Chinese-language “Baidu” search-engine for confirmation of this original “Reuters” article – and could not find any reference. Therefore, I would tread carefully. Reuters, just like all the Western news outlets are controlled by the bourgeois establishment and loyally does its (pro-capitalist) bidding. On the other hand, China, like any country, routinely exercises its right to self-defence – just as Iran is doing now.

UN: Members Denounce US Attack on Venezuela! (12.1.2026)

This being the case, why does the UN – and its constituent members – suddenly find it so unpalatable when the US behaves like the rogue Zionist regime it finances? Whilst the US denies free healthcare to its own citizens – the US also finances completely free healthcare for every Israeli citizen (this is also true for South Korea, Taiwan and Japan – key US players in the region). Given that the US has imported Neo-Nazism into Ukraine and fought a proxy-war since 2014 – why shouldn’t Trump act in this lawless manner toward Venezuela? What political or military mechanism is there to stop him? None. Obama destroy a Socialist Libya, installed the Maidan Junta in Kyiv, and began the destruction of Syria. Obama was one of the worst US warmongers – but is fondly remembered for a second-rate health system and free mobile phones. You see my point. Free health, of course, is one of the main principles of any Socialist System, and this fact demonstrates the cynical nature of US foreign policy around the world.

Recently, however, Grok has been allowing X-users to generate AI images of women, teenagers (youths), and children (many premised on “real” or “known” individuals) – with these images being “naked” and “sexualised” in various ways. It seems that this Grok-activity was/is feeding into paedophilic and misogynistic tendencies – as well as violating privacy laws. Musk seems to think that this activity should be “protected” by “freedom of speech” and “freedom of expression” legislation – even though these vary around the world. The problem is a broader issue which has seen the governments of Western Europe permit the US-controlled internet to invade sovereign (non-American) geographical spaces and apply US law where such law does not exist (the political left outside of the US has been one of the most prevalent victims of this policy) – the right and far-right the greatest benefiter). The US concept of “freedom of speech” allows “ignorance” to possess the same status as “wisdom” – and herein lies the problem. The UK possesses “responsibility of speech” – where each individual must learn the current acceptable parameters within public debate (private is another matter) – and operate from within those limitations. The only place to possess “freedom of speech” in the UK is the British Parliament.

AI can guess racial categories from heart scans – what it means and why it matters

In the heart scan study, researchers found that the AI model wasn’t actually focusing on the heart itself, where there were few visible differences linked to racial categories. Instead, it drew information from areas outside the heart, such as subcutaneous fat as well as image artefacts – unwanted distortions like motion blur, noise, or compression that can degrade image quality. These artefacts often come from the scanner and can influence how the AI interprets the scan.

Morning Star 22.2.2020 Anti-Trans

UK: Morning Star Anti-Trans Cartoon & Other Bourgeois Nonsense! (9.1.2026)

During the murder of Charlie Hebdo staff for printing a racist cartoon featuring an Arab (which criticised Islam) – the CPB and the Moring Star “ignored” the racist motivation and racist nature of the cartoon (associating freedom of expression with the right to be racist) – and openly supported the Charlie Hebdo business (re-publishing the offending cartoon). This policy replaced the more correct position of condemning the terrorist murders – whilst simultaneously condemning the French racism that triggered this violent response. This is an interesting departure for the Morning Star which in other circumstances has seen its full support for Islamic violence – providing it is aimed at Buddhist minorities. The Morning Star’s position was echoed in the Communist Review – a copy of which I encountered during a visit to the Marx Memorial Library in London. This is an example of the disgusting racism that exists and manifests on the far-left in the UK.

In the face of this serious and almost unprecedented situation in our history, we express our strongest repudiation of the bombings carried out, which represent a criminal violation of the sovereignty of peoples. We demand the immediate freedom of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, the fighter Cilia Flores, victims of the persecution and siege of Yankee foreign policy aimed at destabilizing the region by force.

We urgently call on the working classes of our countries and all progressive sectors to mobilize in the streets to repudiate these aggressions and defend continental dignity. We will not allow imperialist plunder and arrogance to determine the fate of our homelands. Out with imperialism from Latin America! Freedom for Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores!
