Lewisham: “Squeeze” Futurist Mural! (26.11.2023)

I am reminded of the work (and perspective) of Vladimir Myakovsky – and his ‘Cloud In Trousers!’ He was the founder of ‘Communist Futurism’ – although I doubt the School Syllabus of early 21st century has anything to do with Scientific Socialism – although we can live in hope! Trust the young – as Mao Zedong once aptly exclaimed! Perhaps – from the depths of the minds and hearts of our young (whatever their ethnicity) – we will evolve toward a better tomorrow for all of us! On the overhand, having viewed the post-industrial state of Lewisham (in East London) – I wonder where exactly these schools are that produce the British school children that produced this wonderful expression of hope and progression! My mother’s (Gibson) family once lived in this area and this probably explains why I was always drawn to London – as if returning to my ancestral roots!
