I was forwarded a number of videos of ‘non-White’ recruits serving in the Nazi German Armed Forces during WWII. Remember, the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces were ‘fascist’ – and that military body was exclusively ‘non-White’. I know that the Japanese Military possessed Korean, Taiwanese and Manchurian Military Units (Units that reflected Japan’s colonial presence throughout Asia) – but as far as I know – the Japanese Military never recruited any White, Black or Arab soldiers. This just goes to show how ‘racist’ the Japanese Imperial System actually was – with even ‘Chinese’ derived Okinawan Units being deemed ‘Japanese’. When the Imperial Japanese captured large numbers of ethnic Indian POWs serving in the Indian British Army – around 10,000 ‘volunteered’ to join the so-called ‘Indian National Army’ Commanded by Chandra Bose – and armed by the Japanese. Chandra Bose was a despicable racist, a good friend of Hitler (although he never quite saw eye to eye with Hitler – as Hitler thought India needed another 100-years of British Colonial dominance to bring the poverty-stricken country into modernity), and an ardent anti-Soviet and anti-Socialist. His ‘INA’ proved virtually useless on the battlefield – with the majority of Indian POWs remaining loyal to the Indian British Army (a separate entity to the ‘British Army’).
Hitler – despite the obvious racism implicit in his ideology – was a good friend of the Mufti of Palestine and had good relations with the people of Iran (seeing these people as possible candidates for historical ‘Aryans’). As a consequence, Hitler permitted special SS Units which Iranians (and Arabs) could join. I have also been told that Hitler’s presence in Tibet led to the 14th Dalai Lama allowing a number of young Tibetan men joining another special SS Unit. Hitler also required a number of Tibetan Lamas to sit and ‘meditate’ all day and night in Berlin – wishing for the final victory of the Nazi Germans! The 14th Dalai Lama lived extensively with Hitler’s emissaries – and this experience greatly influenced the development of his later anti-China opinions.
Hitler’s Afrika Korps did contend with the British for control of North Africa – but eventually lost this conflict. It could be that for propaganda purposes the idea of ‘Black’ (African) soldiers appearing to serve in the Nazi German Armed Forces was required from time to time. Given Hitler’s condemnation of race-mixing and his obvious derogatory attitude toward African people (declaring them ‘sub-human’) it is difficult to see why Black people would be invited, tolerated or liked. The fsr-right today tries to use te footage of these ‘recruits’ wearing Nazi German uniforms as somehow implying that Hitler’s obvious racism was NOT ‘racism’! This is NOT true – any more than the odd Jew working for Hitler meant that Hitler was NOT antisemitic! Do NOT be fooled. We do not know the stories of these non-White. We do not know the context of the footage recorded. Whatever the reasons are – the reader can be assured that it is NOT the assumptions made by the far-right!
