This month coincides with the Anniversary of the Martyrdom of the Palestinian heroine – Taghreed Ismail Al-Botmeh (in 1980) at Bethlehem University – during a demonstration.

The heroic Martyr was born in the town of Banir in the District of Ramallah in 1958 – and she joined the ranks of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine to exercise her role of Revolutionary struggle in fighting the Zionist enemy and expelling it from our holy land!

She was Martyred in June 1980 – when she was participating in a demonstration within Bethlehem University – where citizens clashed with the Occupation (Zionist) soldiers who opened fire on the demonstration!

يوافق خلال هذا الشهر، ذكرى استشهاد البطلة الفلسطينيّة تغريد إسماعيل البطمة، وذلك في العام 1980 في جامعة بيت لحم، خلال إحدى المظاهرات.
ولدت الشهيدة البطلة في بلدة بنير قضاء رام الله عام 1958، والتحقت في صفوف الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين لممارسة دورها النضالي في مقاتلة العدو الصهيوني وطرده من أرضنا المقدسة.
واستشهدت في حزيران عام 1980 عندما كانت تشارك في إحدى التظاهرات المنطلقة من جامعة بيت لحم حيث اشتبك مواطنون مع جنود الاحتلال الذين أطقوا النار على التظاهرة.
