Moscow: ‘Slavic Union’ Banned in Russia! (27.4.2010)

The Moscow City Court recognized as ‘extremist’ (fascistic) and closed the “Slavic Union” MOSCOW, April 27 – RAPSI.

The Moscow City Court on Tuesday closed the Moscow organization “Slavic Union”, recognizing it as extremist, the head of the Union – Dmitry Demushkin – told RAPSI.

The Moscow City Court satisfied the claim of the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office, which collected evidence that “the goals and actions of this association are aimed at carrying out extremist (Neo-Nazi) activities that violate the rights and freedoms of humanity and citizen, causing harm to the individual, the health of citizens, society and the State,” the Prosecutor’s Office said in a lawsuit.

The so-called “Slavic Union” called upon ethnic Russians to join with Ukrainians in a pact eulogising ‘Nazism’ – and in so doing – rejecting ‘Eastern Slavism’ and looking to the West for inspiration and cultural orientation.
