Author’s Note: I have been covering this conflict for eight-years now, when all the so-called ‘left-wing’ groups in the West did nothing and said nothing (watch them all come-out the woodwork now – all claiming some kind of moral high-ground and an exclusive right to comment and interpret current events – worse still, watch the Trotskyites condemn Russia and said with the US). In this capacity, I have worked directly with the Communist Parties of Lugansk and Donetsk – translating their news-blogs into English and with my family even carrying their national flags through the streets of London during Mat Day Celebrations! In 2014, the Obama Administration sponsored a neo-Nazi take-over of the Ukraine – with the intention of moving NATO troops up to the border of Russia. This was foiled in East Ukraine by the resistance of the local populations who voluntarily formed a number of ‘People’s Republics’ whilst seceding from the sovereignty of the ‘Ukraine.’
Meanwhile, US, UK and EU-backed neo-Nazi ‘Maidan’ troops attacked the ‘People’s Republic of Odessa’ and massacred its people. The ‘People’s Republics’ of Lugansk and Donetsk, however, held-out against this military aggression, and both countries have now been recognised by Russia as ‘Independent States’ separate and distinct from the ‘Ukraine.’ Russia has now announced its intentions of ‘clearing-out’ the neo-Nazi delinquents from West Ukraine and ‘liberating’ its people! Watch now, for the US-controlled social media platforms to ‘limit’ freedom of speech – whilst simultaneously ‘pretending’ to be ‘upholding’ it! This will be an attempt to control the flow of information so that the only news freely available will be what the bourgeoisie wants you to hear and think! This will invariably be an ‘inverted’ and ‘anti-intellectual’ interpretation of events which will invariably retain only a nodding acquaintance to reality! ACW (24.2.2022)
MOSCOW, February 24. /TASS/. Denazification means that Ukraine should be liberated from neo-Nazis, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics, he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in order to protect the people who had been suffering from abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime.
“Ideally, Ukraine should be liberated, cleaned from neo-Nazis, from people sharing pro-Nazi sentiment and ideas,” Peskov pointed out, when asked to explain remarks about the need to denazify Ukraine.
Peskov also clarified that the demilitarization of Ukraine meant “the need to cancel out the military capabilities that have significantly grown recently, particularly because of other countries’ activities.” When asked to specify if it was going to include the elimination of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Kremlin Spokesman said: “I have already answered this question.”
At the same time, Peskov declined to comment on whether efforts to denazify Ukraine would lead to a change of government in the country. “I won’t comment on that, I won’t be able to answer this question at the moment,” he said.
Peskov also declined to say if Moscow believed that Ukraine’s president and other senior officials shared pro-Nazi ideas. “I will refrain from further clarification,” the Russian presidential spokesman said.
