Gee (芷) – my partner – practising neidan meditation whilst life goes on around her. Thousands of years ago, her ancestors were servants of the family of Confucius, and at a time when very few people had surnames, her family was granted one of the fore-names of Confucius – i.e. ‘邱’ Qiu – as a surname. Within Cantonese language it is pronounced ‘Yau’.
